Just freaking box sets? I can afford to shell out $150 over time, but not all at once

What is with people making the DVDs all Box Set only. They would sell more if they split them up.

I would have been collecting the Slayers Eps on DVD if it weren't for that. Same with Fushigi Yuugi

Box sets suck...if and only if you have already have most of them. However the key is..to save. You end up getting at least one or two Discs free by buying boxed sets.

DVDs in general you end up saving alot over VHS. HOWEVER...this is not always the case. Like with Lain. They are the same price VHS or DVD, and the boxed sets you save like 5-10 bucks...with the special addition "Lunch Box" set you actualy paid alittle more :(

Which series are you talking about? I've been in Media Play and Electronics Beautiques many times and seen single DVDs. Where ever your are going might be trying the old, "limit selection to make bigger sales" bit. I would look around... I'm pretty sure a friend of mine has all the Slayers Next on DVD and got them individualy.

I haven't seen any of the Slayers series on indivdual DVD, seen the movies though. I have checked around and only ever seen the box sets for Slayers eps on DVD. I shop at Media Play, but also all the online places I have seen only sell the box set.

if your friend got them individually, can you ask him where?

i think the slayers ova are available in individual sets. but the primary series (without naga) are only in box sets. I think it's ok to have box sets but why not have them individual too?

stupid baka, adv didnt release slayers series, adv released the movie/ova's. Central Park Media was the one who released the series, i dont think u can get the dvd individually, but u can get the videos...also, in some stores, but not the major ones like suncoast, split the box sets.
