No, they don't have Toonami - or, not like we do. They have Cheese TV or summin.

Hey, the cheez is good. Cheese has in fact been the thing that began my life as a humorous twit at school. I dislike the fact that Cheez TV is the only supplier of Anime on public TV, well, except for SBS, but it's been ages since they showed an anime .I only heard of other anime like Tenchi Muyo, Ranma one half and 3x3 eyes from a freind.
I'm diverting, I'll get back to the point.
Why has the voices of Dragonballz charatcers changed, and why has their speaking habits become a little more complex? When I saw the new episodes, I (shame) almost turned the TV off. It's hard to get used to. Have they changed translation companies? Voice actors? CAN SOMEONE TELL ME WHY KRILLEN SOUNDS A BIT MORE LIKE KERMIT THE FROG?

I believe I answered that in another thread for the Dragonball board. Though, I'll try to sum up the reason here.
Basically (afaik), the first two seasons were made a long time ago (years) and FUNi was in Canada at the time. The new season(s) were done recently, and FUNi is currently in Texas, so they had to find new voices. The voices suck, don't they? ^_^;;

I don't mind..I've read all the basic plots of the series...after Vegita, Piccolo is my favourite character and am looking foward to his return. I hear he kicks Frieza about a bit :D

A summary of todays episode, might be abit out of order:
Frieza threatens Guru to get him to speak and he finally speaks to her. Nails convinces Frieza to fight in another place so Guru doesn't have to see the fight. Nails tries to lead Frieza as far away as possible to gain time for the earthlings but Frieza eventually stops him and they quickly find a place to begin the fight. Frieza warns Nails he is no match and offers to leave one hand behind his back. Nails attacks Frieza right in the neck but has no affect, Frieza then pulls Nails arm right off. Nails regrows his arm and Frieza is quite surprised at his regenative power and makes note of it for future use.
Captain Ginyu injuries himself and Goku thinks he has gone mad. Captain Ginyu then uses a special attack to switch their spirits between bodies. Captain Ginyu takes over Goku's body and plans to use it to inpersonate him with the others. Captain Ginyu & Jase then leave Goku in Captain Ginyu injured body. Goku tries to go on but last we see him he is falling from the sky.
Bulma is been chased by a flying dinosaur like creature and tries to go into a cave to escape. Just as she is about to enter the cave another dinosaur like creature comes out of it and she it knocked off her vechile onto the ground as she tries to turn away. Krillin then arrives with Gohan just in time to save her, Bulma yells at both of them for leaving her alone for so long. They eventually take the dragonball scanner and leave her alone again, telling her to go back to the camp. Just before they leave Gohan tells her Goku has arrived and she thinks about him.

Freiza is a he. I thought he was a girl at first as well, but the I realized that everyone referred to him as 'sir.'

Capt. Ginyu injured himself by punching himself incredibly hard in the chest. It breaks through his armor and bleeds, so hee must be pretty strong.

Also note, Freeza's father called Freeza his son. Freeza's brother called Freeza his brother. Just some extra bits.

After watching alot of animation, american and Anime dubbed we all can agree the voices get used over and over again.

eg Asuka, Tiffany Grant is heard in 70% of the collection of Anime I have.

BUT did anyone notice that Goku's first voice was Blade from Technoman / Tekkaman / Space Knights what ever you want to call it.
