as u can see on my 'currently watching' section on my sig, im watching el hazard: alternative world, but i havent seen the series before that so i really dont know the foundation of the story, but from what i hard from people, the ova's and the first season is really good.

Ive seen teh first 3 eps of the OAV, and i really liked it, i should try to find the rest of the series, it looks like a lot of fun.

The Magnificent World OAV is excellent. Watch it its great, some people complain that it can be a bit like tenchi in the relationships area but it has a good plot, great characters and pretty good animation.

I've seen it all :

The Magnificent world (OAV 1)
OAV 2
The Altenative World
and The Wanderers

The first OAV is the best of course and OAV 2 and alt. world are pretty good too. the TV series (The Wanderers) does not follow the OAV's continuity but its really great as well! In some respects, its better then the original ! (except for what they did to Ifurita *shudders*)

OAV's 1 & 2 are comming out on DVD this summer :D must buy...

oh and, just like Tenchi this is one series that I think is better dubbed then subbed, and im not a dubbed kinda guy...

Yup yup....I'm a El Hazard fan!

Same people who did Tenci did El Hazard as well. I actualy like EH more than Tenchi. I think the characters are much funnier and likable.

A series with a Cat that doubles as body armor, a teacher that kicks butt when hes not drinking, bug people, 3 Hot priestesses, 1 hot lesbian, and one even hotter Demon Goddess......yeah thats what i'm talking about :D

The Magnificant World OVA is deffinantly the best, pick those up first.

My only prob with the dub is that Idon't think they quite captured Jinnai, he sounds more cowardly and pathetic in the dub and more evil in the sub :)

I like the Dub quite alot (dont stone me purists) however I guess thats true if look at it, sometimes the demenur of the character changes just by the tone of their voice. Both are very well done, and next month I can't wait to put my DVD to good use and order the entire boxed set for the first series.

Who is your favorite El Hazard Character and who do you think is the coolest female?

I would say that Mr. Masamichi Fujisawa is a done right hilarious and original one and he is very fun to watch but I would have to go with Shayla-Shayla...although Alliele is up there, shes lesbian so that rules her out :lol:

Shayla has the spunk, power, and sexy red hair to beat down whatever stands in her way :D

Perhaps, I haven't seen the sub in a LONG time. But his laugh is one of the best psychotic laughs I've ever heard :)
