i want to get into another anime series and i was wondering what escaflowne was about.

Vision of Escaflowne is about a high school girl (Hitomi), two warriors (Van and Allen), and the Fate and interaction of two worlds. It has wicked mecha action, very recent and smooth animation, a few very unpredicable plot twists, and a great soundtrack. It has little super-deformity, but there are some funny parts. It's a fairly serious anime. Out of 10, I'd rate Escaflowne a 8.25...I highly recommend it.
