Questions and Opinions on Daniel Cronin

[Anime Fan]

Well I am a big fan of this guy's voice he did for Zelgadis on the first 3 volumes of the 1st season. When I bought my very first animation tape (whih was the Slayers) and started hearing his voice in the 2nd episode he immediatly became my favorite character so far. He was also the most interesting character at the time. His voice IMO was perfect for the Zelgadis character and for the 3 volumes he was in he was a very entertaining character to see. Well after about a year and a half later volume 6 finally comes out and I got SO excited when I heard Zelgadis comes back and so I go home and watch it and when the part comes when he returns I say YES hes back but when he started talking I say to myself...WHAT the heck happened to his voice? I was so mad at the time thinking HOW could they change his voice? Cronins voice was PERFECT for him and he really brought out the Zelgadis character and so for the rest of the series I just say to myself WHY did they do this? I did give Crispen Freeman a chance but he just never had the Zelgadis character in him that Cronin did and honestly I cant stand Freemans voice.

Well that brings me to my questions and I was wondering if anybody knows the answers to these.

1. Does anybody know the reason Cronin left? Did he just get released or was he fired? I really want to know the answer cause this has been bugging me for years.

2. Who in your opinion do you like better? Cronin or Freeman? And why?

3. Has Cronin done any other animations? Im just wondering cause I want to buy something that has his voice in it so I can see the other work he has done.

If there ever is by chance another Slayers season I hope he comes back as Zelgadis but I higly doubt he would.

I was looking though a SLayers page somewhere awhile ago and it seems that Cronin left. He did not want to do to anymore. :(

Hmm.. Since I have only seen about the first 8 episodes of The Slayers and a few episodes from Slayers Next, I would have to say Cronin, mainly because I have not heard the other guy. :D

I have no idea weither Cronin has done any other series. :(

Yah, the ENglish VA's are enough to make one's ears bleed.... I just stick with the subs or the unadulterated (am i usuing that word right...??...) japanese raw versions!!!
