Ya know.... i could have sworn there was a thread on this before but i can't seem to find it. :dodgy:

Oh well. So whos seen this series? I've only seen the first 7 eps from a co-worker today and i thought it rocked! :D But does anyone know how many episodes long Vandread is? And what did you think of it? I thought the blending of the Animation and the CG was actually very well done.

Yup its 13 eps and series 2 is on the way. I can't wait.

To me it has the great CG of Blue 6, along with better character design and a great plot.

I only saw episode 4 and I liked it a lot. Reminds me of Nadesico.

If I'm correct, some of the artists of Nadesico worked on Vandread.. :D Thats why some of the characters are so similar.. O.o

The style between Vandread and Gatekeepers are very similiar as well (makes sense considering they're from the same studio).

GONZO, a japanese animation company, owned both vandread and gatekeepers and the artist from nadesico also worked for GONZO and that's why gatekeepers, vandread and nadesico have a common to each other...

I thought the group of people that made Nadesico made Vandread. I've seen the first few episodes at a con but that was like 4 in the morning so my memory is very vague. What I do remember is telling myself this is so cool and I should see if I can obtain this series.

Well if Gonzo made Nadesico then I guess Mutsumi made it too, so I'll add that to the list of animes she worked on. :D I bet she is at Gonzo right now working on a secret project anime series... :confused2

Ya know.... i still have to finish watching Nadesico and Vandread still.... Hey Oogami! You've got an insider.... whats next to come out from Gonzo? Maybe you can find out for us. hehehe. :D

ARGH! :redhot: Someone out there please tell me that there is a sequal to Vandread! I just finished the 13 episodes! ARGH! :redhot: I must know if there is more! I must find out what happens when they have to face the 5 motherships! Its still blowing my mind who the enemy.... Its kinda like Nadesico ya know... you don't even see it coming and it just hits you like a bag of bricks.

Maybe the higher uppers already know about the harvest.... what if they're in league with Earth? Now that would be rather twisted don't you think?

I'd say that they do, with the shot of one of them deleting the SoS message.

Thats exactly what i was thinking when i typed that. I mean... why else would they delete that SoS message and the warning that came with it? God i wish the second season would air already. Which brings up this question. Anyone know when they will start airing the second season of Vandread in Japan? :confused2

Well i havent seen it but i really want to.

One time when i went to MAS (Melbourne Anime Society) www.anime.com.au/mas they were going to show it and they just put it on when they realized that the subtitles were to small I was so annoyed.:mad:
