Whats the differances bettween them? I posted this on another board but they wouldent tell me.

they are basically the same except that the movie doesnt contain certain scenes shown in the eps.

2 sided Coin Ryezen. The movie also contains scenes not seen in the series, like a more CG and drawn out rendition of Information High and the battle between Guld and the X-9 is much better. Though they did cut out that cool fight between the YF-19 and 21 in the city replica in New Edwards

I think that the main difference between the movie & the OAV's is that the movie focuses more on the love-triangle between Guld, Myung & Isamu, whilst the OAV's focused more on the rivalry between Guld & Isamu....,

Bah, just watch the eps...you miss out on too much if you just watch the movie. I must say though, the extended fight scene between Guld and the Ghost X-9 is worth getting a hold of the movie afterwards...

On a side note, has anyone played the PSX MPlus game?

And they cut the fight sceen?

Yeah, the fight betwen Isamu and Guld at the end of the 2nd episode wasn't in the movie. Also, Isamu's fight against the Zentraedi at the very begining of the OVA wasn't in the movie either. However, there are more scenes in the movie that aren't in the OVA, such as an extra Sharon song, and a different and better fight between the Ghost and Guld. I like the movie better, since I think that the story is presented in a better way.

I hear that everyone should watch them both. The episodes have animation not in the movie. The movie has scenes cut, but new scenes and new music. The movie is supposed to be different enough so seeing the movie is a whole different experience from watching the 4 eps.

Yes they are different enough to warrent seeing them both. The movie presents events in a different order and adds a more dramatic aspect to the story. Plus, the ending is better in the movie.

Well admitadly Plus the series ending was just a little lame but it made sence. Unlike alot of other anime endings.

The ending was good. It showed Sharon loved Isamu but he didn't love her in return. An extreme example of Myung and Isamu's love. She loved him enough to let him go. Flying was the only true love he ever had.

Anyweay Mangas bringing out the Movie on DVD sub only I think so you can get that soon. I might actually have to retire my Mac+: The movie subbed VHS tape.

I'll believe it when I see the Macross Plus Movie on dvd. Manga has been jerking us around with the EoE movie for.. what 2 years now?

Well considering my Mac+ movie tape is actually a 100% legit Manga release and is great quality they already have the master and unlike Eva no need to dub it. So it should be able to be released soon. Though I guess theres always the great X fiasco
