Why is everyone having a go at SBS!!!
they arent really that bad they done many great things for anime fans in the past.
such as screening Neon Genesis Evangelion twice through completely (not counting the movies)
theve shown many really good animes
such as
The caslte of Cagliostro
Akira
Ghost in the Shell

and other series such as Goku which was highly underrated because no-one knew that it was on.

so you see, SBS is trying their hardesdt to bring us what we want, so what if they botched it up this once theyve brought us so much more before, so please give them a chance (no im not an SBS employee)

im sure they'll fix their ways before the end of the series of BGC 2040

well im pretty sure i'll get a lot of negative comments posted on this thread but i thought i just should remind everyone of how SBS has done well and been loyal to us anime fans in the past

:) :) :)

yeah one thing they do good is put lotsa good Japanese movies

and the bad thing is

they finished playing eva for the first time
and then they put the series back on the next week

and also Bubblegum crisis one episode a week, not a good thing

well i suppose it is a bad thing that its only one episode a week...i mean i sure would love it to change but give them some time to change :)

yeah i know

people just think SBS is crap because of little things

tell me something

when like eva was on there wasn't very many commercials on right

and look at channel 2,7,9 and 10 how long have they had like 3 mins breaks with commercials on

no that i think of it SBS is pretty good but now its becoming a commercial place more commercials are coming on

but its still a bit better than the normal channels

like CA said in your other thread SBS is the only one that shows anime shows, except Cheez T.V but now Dragon ball Z is gone so SBS is the full ruler of Anime shows

i know what you mean about SBS becoming more commercial

and yeah since no more DBZ on cheez tv the anime aruler award goes to....SBS

but thats why im annoyed at SBS, there is still more DBZ to keep coming (yes i know this is a BGC board) , Cheez tv have cut off the series too early and now all we are left with is.....grrr....Action man, boy do i hate that show,

and a while back i noticed cheez tv saying they would be introducing a new anime series called Card Captor Sakura what ever happened to that??!?!?! i thought that at least if they were going to get rid of DBZ they could at least put a new anime series on!

what do you think? i mean did you hear about cheez tv saying this?

surely i wasnt the only one?

CCS is on TV? (OR will be on) Mesage me when it comes on would you. With the time!

Not Cardcaptor Sakura, Cardcaptors!

Its hideously butchered, unwatchable butchered.

Anyway back on topic

SBS are OK but I don't like their reasoning with the dubs. Come on those European Sex films get subs and we have to watch dubs. What does this mean? That they know that the average pervert wont even care whats being said or we're dumber than the average pervert and need a dub?

Right on, Ms Testament!! I mean, they were able to show 2 episodes of Evangelion a week, so why bloody not do so for Bubblegum Crisis 2040?

you need to watch 2 episodes because most of them roll into each other

Right on!! The cliffhanger formula of screening action shows just dosent cut it for half hour animes. If it is a 45 minute show with full plots, 7 days is a worthwhile wait. However, the same amount of time waiting for another measley 28 or so minutes does much to dissipate the tension of the plot.

Another cartoon made for adults (and I'm not talking about "Eat Carpet" ) from the UK. I don't know why SBS decided to put this in to that particular time slot.

Of course, I'm impressed that SBS is improving at the moment. Will just have to wait and see what's their next motive after Bubblegum Crisis 2040.

I wouldn't mind if they show "My Neighbours the Yamadas" on SBS. Its anime, already subtitled PLUS it breaks the conformity of must-see-mecha-sci-fi yada, yada, yada AND it has something a hard core Otaku can have a laugh of. :D

Yeah, er...what they all said, Ronin! They also brought us Gunsmith Cats (one of the animtors from BGC [Kenichi Sonoda] also worked on this) , they rocked!
