what's the best thing to watch after an NGE binge?

Martian Successor Nadesico. this series is brilliant in it's simplicity. it has to be the second best anime of all time (after NGE, of course) it has a great combo of giant robot action and comedy. go ahead, give it a try. you won't regret it.

well, i have yet to see Nadesico, but id have to choose RRK followed by YYH or Gundam

I agree!! I'm a big Nadesico fan.

Not only does it have good light comedy and great animation, but you'll love the quirky characters. There is also some deeper points to pick up on if you are that way inclined.

It is of the robotech/heroes-in-mecha genre, but it makes references to this genre and sends it up! The characters all watch a wacky anime called Gekiganger which is reminiscent of titles like Gatchaman.
