I have only seen the first 3 episodes and I want to know where there are parts where they take the crap out of eva...

I don't think there are any parody parts from Evangelion. Its more likely a parody of a famous mecha series back in the 70's. But still there ain't any Evangelion parodies in Nadesico.

Actually Nadesico parodies just about every major mecha franchise in the last 30 years. Gekiganger is just one part of it, targeting the super-robot shows of the 70s. There are also parodies of Macross and Eva. The epsiode people are usually referring to when they talk about Eva parodies is 20 or 21, I forget which. The whole thing plays almost like one of the 'strange' Eva episodes. There's one shot in particular where they talk about the Shakuyaku 'rejecting them' that could have come straight from Eva. The really big Macross parodies come in the final episodes, but you might not see them immediately unless you think about it.

Hai. So desu yo. Nadesico may parady a lot of the mecha shows and the giant robot show of the 70s, but i still think it has a rather sweet flavor of its own. As for the Macross parodies... the first thing that made me think "Macross parody" was when i saw the ship and its main gun. That really reminded me of Macross for some reason.

I'm tired to always see someone who refer each mecha series to Evangelion !!!! :redhot: ... Nadesico is a good mecha serie with is own style ... Gekiganger is a parody to mecha serie in general even Nadesico it self ...
LET'S GO PASSION !!!!

I think you're referring to the "memory" episode, where they have those kinds of enigmatic, inward-turning moments of self-examination, like Evangelion has. Yeah, I found that one to be particularly funny.
Has anyone seen that video clip that someone made that synced the Evangelion intro to shots in Nadesico? Some of the Nadesico stuff was manufactured (they made text flash by like in the Eva intro) but most of it was footage taken from the series. The clip is presented in a "picture in picture" format with the Eva intro in the lower left and the manufactured Nadesico "intro" as the dominant image. I found it to be funny as hell and well made to boot ^_-

I´ve seen it and it scared the schit out of me since it is so obvious which mecha series they are making fun of the most :D
I have seen the 1st 3 episodes aswell and they are nearly 70% making fun of EVA only!
Kaji death-scene/selfish&arogant pilot/clumsy boy who accidently becomes a pilot/clumsy boy who accidently becomes pilot has a problem with accepting himself/father-child complex/NERGAN instead of NERV/hell there´s even some dude looking and acting like Gendo Ikari!/at least one Mecha looks like an EVA/blue haired quiet girl/controlcenter of the NADESICO looks like NERVs op-center
Three episodes guys, only three....
 Only three, I am impressed. I actually saw nadesico before, I saw Eva, and I saw many similarities. Not knowing which came first, I didn't know who was parodying who.
