This has been bugging me for a while.

In episode six, Hitomi has a vision of Van biting the dust, and she's able to save him from Dilandu's crimi-claw just in time. However, right before Van's battle with the three mercenaries, she gets the vision again,

"That bad feeling still hasn't gone away, is this what that vision was warning me about?"

But nope, it wasn't, because Van is able to take out the melefs with no trouble at all. So what the heck did that vision refer to?

Well, Hitomi's meddling usually changes the visions around a bit, so even though she had a vision of Van dying, he didn't. My guess is that it might have been for that fight with Dilandau in the next episode, although I suppose it could have been for the bounty hunters even though they were such wussies.

Well, Vahn's mother said that Hitomi's feelings could alter the fate of the ppl around her or something like that, So I guess her being present their could have alter the future in some way, I guess:confused:

Hmm... But wouldn't Hitomi's presence changing things not have STOPPED Van from dying, but caused it? After all, her wishes are steeped in deep anxiety and cause an unhappy outcome after all.

But Hitomi intervene so the futre was altered. Basically her will to save Vahn may have some sort of a positive effect.

She has this power to alter the fate of the people around here so maybe the end result lies entirely on her even if she has a dreadful vision she could still intervene.
