I wasn't too sure if it was a spoiler or not, because in the episode the old guy kept saying "My Boomers" and after Sylias Mothers death, Her father asked for her help to complete his Boomers

Dr Stingray created Gelatia who is the VOOMER, yes i spelt it right it ain;t a mistake Voomer and then they spilt gelatia's core into tiny bit the minimul amount to work a boomer and then they put it into the boomers and as Suzaku said the the GENOM owner bought em and now that imortal bastard think there his boomers(my asss) so you were right and kinda wrong too

Ok first of all. Dr. Stingray in Bubblegum Crisis (the original one and only) was the main research scientist for boomer technology. He was later killed by the Genom corporation. Dr. Stingray then mailed a data tape to his daughter (age around 8) showing what happened to here father. This is very complicated in explaining what happened to Sylia and how she knew how to use the boomer technology and creating the Knight Saber suits.

If you really want to know about the Knight Sabers don't follow Bubblegum Crisis 2040. It is way different than the original. Get the original or watch it first. Most of us that have been into anime for a while kinda frown apon the new BGC. Don't get me wrong it was done well and had used some good CG, but it lacked the music popularity the original had and a very strong story line.

You need to put somethings into perspective, during one of the episodes Sylia had a flashback of her dad working on a Boomer that went (and there's no other way to say this) berserk and exploded. Better question, is Sylia a boomer?

for me...i don't know what she is but all i know that she's a living and breathing carbon based lifeform...

Sylia is a normal Human she only had a Voomer in her brain so how can she become a Voomer just from that



thats why Gelatia can talk to Sylia cause Gelatia was grown in her brain



oh and Nigel Created the Hard Suits and Sylia i think usually designs em and looks for people that are strong and are a good fighter

I will say one thing, you don't need any requirements to become a knight saber it seems, besides the obvious gender needs. But, look at Nene, she's the last person you'd think to be in a hardsuit and look at her.

Ok I own all 12 tapes of 2040 and according to what I have seen...When Sylia had the first hard suit made it was modled after her. Not really her body but her brain so Sylia needs people who have similar brains, or else the suit won't work right. So that is why Nene may look nothing like Sylia but she is still a night saber. Pluss they needed Nene's superior intelect. That is also why you see Henderson and Nygel telling her that she shouldn't be fighting anymore, because she has changed so much sence the suit was made so it's dangerous for her to be in it.
