Why is it that only Inu Yasha, that could wield the Tetsusaiga. The only other person is his big brother with the help of a Shikon shard in a human arm. His father is dead, so he couldn't have arranged that to happens

Because although Sheshomaru had a human arm he had no compassion for humans, and because inu yasha said that he'd protect Kagome he could use the tetsusaiga. and Kagome was able to pull it from the stone thingy becuase she was human.

I'd discuss it but I've only seen to episode two. Great series.

I thought Shessomaru was pretty good with the Tetsusaiga, using it awsome power for the very first time and actually killing all those youkai and took away the entire mountain with it. Inu Yasha was only able to use the full power when they where really in danger of being defeated. What I don't understand is how Shessomaru could make the sword transform without the need of protecting someone, while it won't transform until Inu Yasha need it to protect Kagome. Later on Inu Yasha doesn't even need to protect Kagome, but the sword still transform.

There is one thing I like to ask, why is exposure from the future not affecting the present. She seem to be riding on a dutch invention, Instand noodles, candy and her clothing.

Sure Shessomaru was good with it, but that doesn't mean it's right for him to have it. his and inu yasha's father was someone who loved a human so he wanted the son who had compassion for humans to be the owner of the sword. I dunno why shessomaru could really make the sword transform but i guess it was from having the human arm. it is kinda weird and unexplained.

Back to the previous question of mine, how did his father arrange the weapon to be crafted and put an enchantmend on it, I take it that he is dead before his fang was removed and turned into a sword? Who put the enchantmend on the Tetsusaiga?

Must...see...more Inu Yasha!

I've only seen up to episode 4 :( :(

That little hardly has any power and couldn't possibly forge an enchanted sword. All he ever was is an advisor and from what I can tell, he doesn't know much about the sword either, when they first pull the sword out, he didn't know about the enchantment, then he didn't know how it transform and he was really amazed when Shessomaru finally used the full power of the sword in contrast to how Inu Yasha was using the sword up to that point.

Another question, who could have killed their father? The taiyoukai seems to me like the most powerfull being ever, I mean just one fang was enough to level a mountain. He was a giant among giants and not to mention his offsprings. Inu Yasha was only a Hanyou, but he could easily beat a full Youkai, without the aid of the Tetsusaiga. The only one that could really give him a hard time was his own brother, who was infact a full Youkai.

Is it me or did they made Miroku too powerfull, he seems to be able to block the Tetsusaiga without any effort. He seems to be able to block every move Inu Yasha made, which would be impossible for a human to do. He is a fighter and that is what I don't envision a monk to be, I thought he would be more appropriate to use enchantment or some kind of aura power, it just doesn't seem right to me the have Miroku to be fighter.

well, the only things he really can do is beat ppl on the head with his staff, suck things into his hand, and do a few aura spells. He did make a protection shield like thing with Kadae (right?) sama, to protect inuyasha (i think) or something like that, right? And he did remove some thing that was possessing a lady, and fought it after wards. He's not really there just to fight. he's mainly there to fine Naraku and kill him. kill him! bwa ha ha ha haaa!!!! *ahem*

I just noticed when watching episode 22 again, where Kikiyo seems to be a really powerfull. But the weird thing is that, Kagome doesn't really know how to use her power. Just a faction of her "hate", could still wield incredible power, so why doesn't she develop the power she already posessed. She rarely use her power, just really passive powers, like looking for Shikon no Tama shards, which Miroku also can see and some times shoot an unwittingly enchanted arrow. I say unwittingly, cause she probably doesn't even know that she is enchanting it.
Like love hina the character in Inu Yasha are really blind when it comes to love, always to stubborn to admit they like each other. Seems to be a trend in anime, probably with a wink at my direction, cause I am like that, love could hit me on the head with a bowling ball and I would still not notice it.

YAY, I LOVE INU-YASHA~! It did use to be my most favourite anime but ONE PIECE has taken that throne away. (Go OP! :) )
I've now got 14 mangas, up to Book 16, and it just keeps getting better and better! :D Except sometimes I get a feeling that I'm not getting enough for what I pay for.... I mean, the whole story is great and the art just fabulous, but it's the sort of manga you finish in less than an hour, depending how fast you read, what with the big boxes and small speeches. If you compare it to say, Rurouni Kenshin or Evangelion manga, I think you'll get my point.

AND ANOTHER THING, this is the greatest mystery in the whole seires; Why does Kagome always wear her skool uniform to the Feudral Era if she doesn't like t getting it bloody and having to wear mufti to school? Why, why why? ( Maybe she just likes showing off her legs to the guys :D )

Takahashi

Probably a kimono wouldn't give her enough moving space to run, try dodging a swing of the Tetsusaiga shockwave. And I can imagine that the miko robe isn't as lightweight as a school uniform

Nikachu
23-06-01, 05:19 AM
But look at the kimonos the girls in te FE are wearing! Just coz short kimonos and yukatas are in Japan now Takhashi sensei has made people in the feudral era wear it! (tut tut, sensei...)

Takahashi

I find it a bit strange too, why does she want to stand out so much, everywhere she goes people would go like, weird kimono, is she from foreing country and other stuff like that. I would have expected more conventional feudal age clothing to not stand out so much.

How many episode are there out there? I found 25 and thought that it was it for now. Suddenly I found episode 26 from some guy today.

According to my calculations, in Japan there up to about Book 12.
That's where Sango steals the BEEP to rescue BEEP from Naraku, but BEEP attacks her, and in the end BEEP sort of defeats Naraku. Aren't I so nice...?

Takahashi
26-06-01, 06:21 AM
My bad I was confusing it with another serie, I got 28 and suddenly found out about 29 and downloaded it. I have already seen beep getting back to life and Sango meeting Naraku. Naraku did ask her to steal the beep from Inu Yasha.

Inuyasha is great. I started watching a few weeks ago, so I haven't seen to far (maybe ep 10).

As for the Kagome's clothing, remember when Inuyasha got all upset because she looked like Kikiyo when she dressed up in feudal style clothes? Perhaps it is to maintain a distinction between the two of them.
Or perhaps it is just more comfortable.

Back to an earlier comment about Kagome using only passive skills, well she tells Inuyasha to sit a lot (I wouldn't consider that passive). :)

That was actually not her power, its an enchanted rosary put on Inu Yasha by Kaeda-baba. It was just convinient for her to put that spell to work cause she was the closest one to Inu Yasha. The point is it isn't her power, but the power of the rosary, which was cast by someone else and as the story progress, she rarely use it anymore.

Me LOVE Iny Yasha, and have known about it for maybe...a year n a half...but still haven't seen many of the episodes!!! I need to do that...(hint hint Amelia, hint hint) I think that the manga explain a lot more than the shows (of what I've seen) but unless you like to question the ways of the creators ;) You don't really mind that stuff. I used to think of Fluffy (sheshoumaru) as Inu's sis, but in the anime, I've noticed he's a lot manlier...it's a very interesting change...I think the voice has a lot to do with it....What really dissapointed me about the show, is that they like totally aliminated the blood!!!! That was something that just gave it it's essence! I loved all the gory parts...but they just either left em out, or didn't put blood in them!!!! how can someone get stabed through the stomach or something and not have blood come out!!!!!...

Well, i've only read the manga, up to the end of the woman with Noh Mask saga. Its pretty good, i'm not a big fan of Rumiko Takahashi, but i sure thought Inu Yasha was pretty good.^^

Amelia
27-06-01, 05:07 PM
Yeah, Inu Yasha is probably the best one Rumiko Takahashi has done. I mean, Ranma 1/2 is really funny and totally whacked, which makes it even cooler, but it doesn't have much of a plot. and Maison Ikoku is good too and so is Urusei Yatsura but Inu Yasha is just so imaginative. Everything is planed out to creat the most confusing, amazing drama ever~ he's just so fuzy!....

Yeah, I do like her other stuff a lot, but it's nice for her to try something new like this! It's kinda surprising how much blood she put in it...:)

hey! what's with shessomaru. dude. it's not shessomaru. Its seshoumaru. I think. I just know it's not shesso. sheshoshesho shesho hehe that's fun to say. The guy who made Tetsusaiga is called Toutousai and he comes in later. It's all explained later, even the demon thingy that killed Inuyasha's dad. And also Fluffy is pretty good with tetsusaiga but Inuyasha just doesn't know how to use it yet. He learns 'kaze no kizu' or the cutting wind later and hey falinah if you wanta watch any of "Amelia's" IY episodes you will have to beg them from ME!!! they are not hers, they are MINE!! all mine!!! WAHAHAaaaaaa
::kagome clutches cds w/ burned Inuyasha eps on them::
WAAHAAHAAAaaaaa

eh heh, I said "dude".

I'm sad about the lack of blood in the anime too T.T

Amelia

your all so sad...sad and scary...very scary...hey! and the eps aren't really urs! i mean you took them using an ftp plus the hard drive space that you took up all of with them is not just yours! get it!? BWA HA HA HA HAAA...*ahem* well, i guess you took took the time to download em so there urs but anyways *changes subject* yeah, i agree there wasn't enough blood...>.<

Kagome has been collecting all of the japanese manga since damn Viz is going so slow! And the japanese ones are just cooler...I don't know why but they jsut seem that way...she has read them all too! Kagome should be fluent in japanese by now...but I don't really know for sure...and she does have most of the episodes...ugh...she rambles to me all the time...
