Any Patlabor fans out there? I hope so - it's a great series that no mecha (or anime) fan should miss watching.

Hey eva ;-)
I highly recommend Patlabor - it's a comedy, drama, and mecha action show rolled into one. And if you want more, you can check out the manga done by Masami Yuki-san. I happen to have Volume 2 of the manga in front of me at the moment...
they showed it on tv here, but i missed it due to the fact i don't have cable. I guess i just have to hope they decide to show it again.

I've seen Patlabour 1 and 2 and thought they were great. The comedic parts were great, like when one of the guys start yelling and there face is shown like it would in a light bulb, (meaning there nose would be really big and features further, such as ears, would be smaller). Sorry if that makes no sense. I was lucky to see it because it came on tv and there isn't a lot of anime on tv where I am.

They've shown the 1st Patlabor movie once or twice, (or more times), on SBS here in Australia and they are soon to show the 2nd Movie.
I can't say that I'm a big fan, but my lil' bro loves it, especially the mecha.

dam must of missed them all :(
Patlabor was the third anime I saw, the first two being Streetfighter II and Akira respectively. I purchased it along with Patlabor II and haven't looked back since. I heard about a Patlabor series but haven't seen anything about it in Australia. You can order some really cool Patlabor figures from various online shops though. The coolest? Alphonse the mech with little Noah and Asuma figures with a small car.
