I have to admit the whole everyone fall in love with Miaka think got on my nerves too. And just when I thought no one could fall in love with her I watched the OVAs. If I remember correctly my friends and I were screaming at the TV saying, "No not another one."

Yes Nuriko is prettier. Heck even Hotohori is prettier when he was pretending to be a woman. Of course I preferred him when he was being a man myself. Well I will be leaving now before I start drooling over the guys in Fushigi Yuugi.

Well, she shows an amazing bout of courage at some times in the series, as well as shows some surprising reasoning ability (ok, it was only once..). Namely, when dealing with her mirror-self.

I didn't like either Miaka or Yui. Miaka was plain annoying and didn't really have any redeeming qualities about her. Yui just reminds me too much of Sailor Uranus, hehe. And as for the obsession for Miaka among the Suzaku seishi, it's gotta be the lolita complex :D

Yui is like Haruka?? Maybe when it comes to looks and they both have dark sides...but Haruka's got too much of the playboy (let's ignore her sex for the moment) thing going on... Plus, I like Haruka a heck of a lot more than Yui. :D

As for Miaka, everyone should go after Subaru! Oh wait, that's right...she's a bit old. Well, there's Soi...but then, Nakago is kind of hard to compete with. And since 99% of the population in Fushigi Yuugi is male, well, the sudden appearance of Miaka must have been a heaven send for the Suzaku seishi. With Yui out of their sight for most of the anime, she doesn't even register on their starving hormones.

Oh well. I guess she's...spunky or something.

Tasuki is a redhead. Tasuki no Miko is a RED HEAD. I went to school with a red head named Rachael for eight years. I went to school with a red head named Angela for three years, and let me tell you....MIAKA IS BURNISHED UMBER (....where'd that come from? o.O..) The color varies from episode to episode, and she'd be lucky if people even labeled her reddish-brown. >< Truth is, she's a silly little mousy brunette that just happens to have the face of a baby doll and the heart of a naiive little girl...sure, she's sweet and trusting and cares about everyone, but watch the series again and count HOW MANY TIMES those qualities get her or someone else into trouble. Then, compare that with how many times those qualities save her or someone else. Come back with a list of comparisons and prove me wrong in thinking that her "Big Heart" was more often than not a bad thing, and I'll give you a nice big cookie and Miaka will win...::thinks:: one month's respite from my contempt. ^..^

MMmmmmm cookie. Okay, now about Miaka's "Big Heart" causing problems ...I think that's more or less depending on how you look at it. Miaka was willing to do anything for the ones she cared about. Unfortunately she was waaaay too naive to handle most of the tasks, but the fact that she'd risk her life for her friends showed what kind of person she really is. The only reason it ever caused problems for those around her is because they were just as protective of her as she was of them. Did that make sense? :heh:

It is MNSHO that Miaka is a brunette...with natural red highlights. My hair is darker, but it does a similar thing, esp. in the sunlight.
And yes, she is cute, a bit too painfully cute for me, but cute, nonetheless.
