Ayashi no Ceres

So have any of you guys/gals seen Watase Yuu's new series? I myself like it it's darker than FY. And I like Aya more than Miaka. What do you guys think?


BTW on a side note, I heard FY fans(I am one) in general despise the anime Berserk(which I love with a passion), is this true? I mysefl think it's silly to say that.

I have seen the first six episodes of Ayashi no Ceres and I liked it. however, since it's been licenced I'm not going to have access to it for a while (aka, until it comes out).

Ayashi no Ceres is not the *newest* thing by Watase Yuu, it's just the newest series that has been animated. She recently finished Imadoki!, a five volume high-school drama. No magic, nothing supernatural.

I don't know what she is currently working on, but I'm sure it's good!

I am in awe of AnC. Its one of my favorite series, and I like Aya a LOT more than Miaka. Who cares that the three best looking guys are all directly linked to her? She's cool enough to deserve 'em~! I mean, her grades are passable, she's all about having a good time, she befriends a Pop-Idol (Manga...SHURO~! I LOVE YOU~!), has Q-chan to drive her insane...er I meant to drive her places, an awesome twin brother and a powerful family. Not to mention the fact that she's descended from "Tennyo", can fly and gets the Missing Weiß boy to fall madly in love with her. Aya ROCKS.

Yes, its much darker than FY; there's more gore, more angst and more real life situations. I have to say that I like it just as much as FY, and after reading all 14 manga tankokuban, seeing the first 13 episodes, and reading one of the Gaiden, I cannot WAIT to see the rest. Plus, there's still more Gaiden to track down...>< Naa....gotta go get a job~!!

i've watched the whole series at a jap ch. and i love the it!!!

it's much darker than FY and i like Aya better that Miaka but when you compare Aya and Yui...i'll take Yui ^_^

ANC is definately a more darker than F.Y. and more serious.

Aya is less annoying than Miaka i must agree on that - but to be honest, i don't really like the usual female leads in Watase sensei's series'.
they just bore and/or annoy the crap out of me :no offence to their fans: (:cough: Miaka, Aya, Tanpopo - although Aya is much better than the other two). I tend to go for the storyline in Watase-sensei's works because she has such a wonderful way of telling stories (not to mention her incredible artistic integrity ^_^)

Imadoki is not too bad - its in a normal high school setting (and the most 'normal' series out of the other 2)
no supernatural, fantasy genres. more to do with normal teenagers (you know - dealing with first loves, school bullying, etc).
I think i would love the series more if i didn't know about Hana Yori Dango and being a devoted fan to the series - i can't help but pick up similarities in the storyline.
