Mitsukake and Chiriko

To be honest, these two characters are not the most exciting ones in the whole series. But hey, might as well acknowledge them since they helped out Miaka a lot (i.e. Mitsukake's healing green light and Chiriko's just plain smart). I just remember in one of the obake(sp?) thingies that I've seen, Mitsukake looked scary when he had make-up and tried to look like a woman.

Everyshow has those charcters that are there but aren't the main players.... they're called supporting characters! Without them, the story can't move on as smoothly or effective as it should. Yea they might not be too exciting but they do have their moments. :D

You should have put a spoiler alert for the people in here who haven't seen the omake, but yea i'd agree that Mitsukake looked scary... but Chiriko..... totemo kawaii desu yo! :heh:

I'd have to say that I was rather disappointed that there was not much history/depth to these characters as there was with many of the others (Nuriko and Chichiri for example). I'd also have to say that as a result those two were my least favorite in the anime. I liked Chiriko better in the manga, however, and I was surprised to find that there was a key aspect to Chiriko in the manga that the anime left out: when his sign doesn't show on his foot, Chiriko is a whiney scared stupid little kid very unlike the brave and super intelligent kid he is when it does appear. However in the manga the sign randomly appears and disappears so he ends up being in the way a lot - and he thinks of his two selves as two seperate poeple this makes

his death scene even more emotional since his sign wasn't showing at the time and he finally realized that he could be brave and helpful even without it.

I didn't knew that Kokoru-chan oo; *really wants to read the manga*
for my part, I've always hated Mitsukake. dun ask me why, I just plain hate him. I'm really happy he doesn't talk that much in the series ^^;;; but I found Chiriko cute...... it would have been nice if in the series they really had shown that he was helpful and smart ^^; he just seems useless ;_;

In the manga the whole going to some womens place with no men alowed so everyone had to dress up like women happened during the story (just after they got off the boat and before they went to the place where Tamahome saved the kid from the horse - and this was where Soi attacked and Miaka used the Dietiy sword to protect herself). Like in the omake, Mitsukake's face was phased out, and he was of course discovered and almost decapitated :eek: .

hehehe, at that part of the bus trip, I paused 'till we see his face before it's censored ^^;;;; so ugly OO;; I mean, that thing could give nightmares to all the children oo; *sweatdrop*

:lol: lol That was pretty bad, huh. Tasuki looked kinda funny too. I liked chichiri though - but he looked too young as a she (he's supposed to be like 24 or 26 or something - older than Mitsukake who's supposed to only be 21 or so :confused: )

i like Mitsukake, i think he've got the best power in Suzaku, (but chichiri doesn't count becoz chichiri is the best!!!) although he looks plain scary as a woman^^;;

chichiri is cute^^ and he's gonna be a main chara if he is 16,17, because he looks sooooo good as a 17 yr old^^

Mitsukake and Chiriko's roles are mainly to fill the seven seishi quota. That, and to say such great one-liners as "Look there!" in every, or every other, episode. As for depth... Chiriko, no. Mitsukake, yes. Dost thou not remember when he first came in? Come now, it was practically the only time he had more than one line.... We got to peek into his past, his inner pains brought on by regret. Oh, if only he had come sooner! Poor Shouka... *sighs* Anyway, I really don't care much for either of them. It could be because they're so damned boring... But alas, I am not allowed to kill them off in my fan fic because a couple of my friends made me promise... And I'm not allowed to kill Soi, either.... Grrr.... BUT I WANT BLOOD!!!!!
