View Full Version : All about Harry...

Harry adds quite a bit of color to the show, I think. He's not really evil, he's just misunderstood.....what are your viewpoints on Harry?
Do you think he's cool  or would you rather that he got hit by an on-coming spacecraft? Explain, please :D
I don't know if i would say that he is cool, but I did feel sorry for him. I mean, he was in love with someone that was unwilling to return them. If you thinking about it all he really wanted was Melfina. The reason he didn't like Gene had to do partly because he wanted Mel. At the end he did redem himself. He prooved that all he wanted was for Mel to be safe. So you are right he really wasn't taht bad a guy.

I love Harry!! He and Aisha are my favorite characters. I have all kinds of Harry fanart lying around. I think I'm gonna cosplay as him too.

I thought the sub-plot with Harry was more interesting than most of the characters.
Melfina
23-08-01, 06:53 PM
i think he's pathetic . . . he won't take no for an aswer or he'll just hack his way into a yes. he's very abusive when he doesn't get his way but he did see the light at the end of the tunnel near the end of the show by risking his life to save Melfina. i think that's the best he's done throughtout the whole show:lol:
So Full of Mercy
23-08-01, 08:18 PM
Hmm, I don't like him, but he is interesting and adds to the show, so I dunno. :sweatdrop

u don't like him but he's intersting??? does that even go???
Black_Knight
30-08-01, 07:28 PM
Well at first glance, here acts like a pyscho and is self-centered. See how he treated his co-pilots in the race of Hafong Space Race? Well It did bring a tear to my eye that he was able to redeame himself thoughæ

I believe he's referring to the end of the series when he sacrificed himself to save Melfina.

Why does everyone have a smily with a mallet in their sig!?
Well, I do think he's interesting, but I don't like his character, like Darth Vader is interesting and adds to the movie, but he's a bastard.
Asaki Masako
03-09-01, 12:00 AM
I've had a malet in my sig for some time. It takes up too much space so I think I'm going to get rid of it soon anyways.

03-09-01, 06:56 AM
maybe he means that in the end harry help gene to get to Mel
Asaki Masako
04-09-01, 05:02 PM
I think that's exactly what he meant. Harry was not a bad person by heart. Not at all. He really cared about Melfina, and he would've done anything for her. His mind just...wasn't all there...
Black_Knight
04-09-01, 07:43 PM
Well Harry is still alive and well though… Well as well as Harry is…
Asaki Masako
06-09-01, 03:12 AM
But he's jsut like this memory in a computer. I wouldn't really consider that alive :(
So Full of Mercy
06-09-01, 05:21 PM
No Ron and Harry both got brought back... somehow... that whole ending was bizarre...
Asaki Masako
06-09-01, 06:09 PM
I must've missed that. Was there some kinda sequel I missed or something?
Black_Knight
06-09-01, 07:38 PM
Remeber? He made a copy of his personality and memory into the Seiglala's mainfram computer?
And the Rons body was recovered by Harry who put him into that tank where Harry was before…
Asaki Masako
15-09-01, 12:06 PM
Well yeah, but being just a computer memory hardly qualifies as alive and well.
(ooc: By the way Black Knight, how the heck do I get you off my ignore list?!)
Black_Knight
15-09-01, 12:30 PM
Well… he's still a character nevertheless
And that question, it was a bug…

I'm not so sure if psycho is the technical term for it, but yeah. Harry does have a few...issues. But at least he feels bad for what he does.
Most of the time.

Caster Wizard
06-11-01, 03:16 PM
Yeah I have the DVDs and Ron just puts a bandage on it but then in between life in machine the whole arms gone so I guess they had to amputate or maybe Harry had a really bad hang nail infection to begin with.

He can't put it in his sig due to the line limit, so he just pops it in the end of each of his posts, BK...
Harry would rather have a cybernetic arm than have such a large, prominent scar, I would think. It works when you think about how his mind is, anyways...

it was like a scratch, he just got scrapped by the bullet

Hell… The bullet hit his neck… Not his arm… It was to take out the transmiter that was hacking into the Outlaw Star…
tekblade
09-11-01, 08:07 PM
yeah he got hit twice, once was the transmitter, and then after ot got blown up harry tried to get a gun then gene shot which scrapped his arm
Asaki Masako
10-11-01, 01:19 PM
Was it really scrapped or just a graze?

He still fired at CLOSE range while he was down. To me that's just merciless killing, even if he didn't kill him, and even if Harry did happen to be one of the villains.

13-11-01, 07:33 PM
maybe he did it to make harry feel his pain and the verge of death or something :D
Asaki Masako
14-11-01, 12:07 AM
Maybe, but what did Harry ever do to Gene that was sooo bad. I mean really bad. It's not like he killed Gene's pop or anything. I understand Gene's outrage, but Harry had nothing to do with it. He was only what? 12 at the time?

Leasts say I come charging at you with an automatic…-And fireing burst…-I don't think you'd take that siting down… You'd try to kill me before I kill you…
This is instice… There is almost 0 time for reasoning…
Asaki Masako
14-11-01, 05:40 PM
Well, first off, I don't know if I'd take on a huge mecha right away. If I wasn't armed with a thing, I'd take off running! :heh:
But at any rate, I still wouldn't mercilessly kill anyone. I'd shoot them in the leg or something. In order to disable them. It would give me enough time to escape or render the attacker unconscious in order to take him prisoner. I live off of srategy, not just blind luck. I'm not one of those, shoot, shoot again, shoot some more until I'm outta bullets (shells) kind of people. I can understand Gene trying to make certain that Harry is dead, but I still think that relentless destruction is not really necessary.
tekblade
14-11-01, 07:35 PM
well i guess we can never know since it was a tense situation and no one had much time to think but to react asap, so gene decided to go all out at harry so he could stay alive and reach melfina

who knows, i guess he felt since like since gene tainted his arm he had to replace it. it looks like harry never really got a real beating much cause theyd killed their prey without much sweat but it was the first time harry got hit so i guess he wanted to get a new arm to get rid of the taintedness gene placed upon him or something :D

BTW Did anyone hear how Harry was born? I could've sworn I heard he was like a test tube baby or something.
Aoi Kitsune

Construct I believe, which basically is a test tube baby... But as I understand/interpret it, that means he could have several people's DNA rather than just one or two.....

Black_Knight
12-12-01, 09:23 PM
Well, A test tube baby means he was concived in a test tube and then the egg was implated into the vagina… Or what ever that part was in the female genitals… I don't really Pay attention to that… :heh: …Wait it was the Uterus!
Well they implant it into the uterus and that'show it's done…
