Favorite would have to be Tasuki. Tough, crude, and has a diamond tessen that shoots flames. enough said. Oh yeah, the fangs are cool too.

Least favorite would probably be Miaka. She's so baka.

Hrm...I've got a two way tie for favorite:

Hotohori - First off pardon me whilst I wipe off the drool. :o He's drop dead gorgeous...obvious reason number one for me. He's such a good father to Boushin even though he can't be with him...it's so sweet. And I feel so sorry for the poor man...dreaming about the Suzaku Seishi since he was little and then meeting her only to find she's in love with someone else. How sad is that? I'll be brave and take Nuriko on to comfort his highness. :D Plus he looks a little like my SO when he's clean shaven.

Chiriko - Bet you weren't expecting to hear that one. :p Why doesn't anybody give the poor kid a break? Anyways, I have a fettish for scholarly types. :rolleyes:

Least favorite:
Miaka - Y'know I want that girl's metabolism. How the heck can she make such a horse of herself and still have that anorexic anime figure? Grrrr. Heck even at the end of OVA 2 when we see her silhouette she's had a kid at this point and she's STILL stick thin. Okay, jealousy reasons aside something about her just gets under my skin. Isn't being that disgustingly nice and self sacrificing unhealthy? :rolleyes:

It is so hard to pick my favorite. I can pin it down to three people.

Chichiri - I find him interesting, because of how diverse he is. I mean he is very good at chearing everyone up, but he also has a dark side to him, which he is afraid to let anyone see.

Amiboshi - One he is cute and he is one of the most down to earth characters in the show. I really felt sorry for him because of everything that he ends up going through.

Nuriko - He is just a fun character. He brings a lot of comedy to the show and it is really hard to see him as a he. To be honest I am having trouble typing he instead of she. Nuriko definately would have made a good woman.

Least Favorite

I will do this according to the two groups.
Suzako

Miaka - I am sorry but I find her to be just as annoying as I find Usagi from Sailor Moon to be. In fact, i think Miaka is worse than Usagi.

Seiryu

Nakago - I really hated the way that he manipulated everyone just to get what he wanted. It just drove me crazy. Mostly likely the reason it drove me crazy is that I have been on the recieving end of manipulation before.

Picking my favorite character borders on impossible. Actually, it is impossible. I can tell you who my least favorite characters are though!

the mikos - Yes, I know they're supposed to be important. I just think Miaka's a little bit silly and Yui is dense sometimes. They could have been better developed, I think. ::shrugs:: I guess they're okay.

Tamahome - aka Mr. I don't have a personality. Okay, that's harsh. He's just....boring and sappy after a while.

Ashitare - Let's get this straight, I don't hate him. Well, not too much anyway. He's just....blah.

Miboshi - Evil baby monk! ::hisses:: He's just plain freaky and I don't like him. He be scary....

I think that's it. I like all the other characters, for one reason or another. Yes, that includes Tomo and Nakago and Seiryuu.

Fave: Chichiri no da :P - esp without the mask - and in the last OAV. Actually I didn't like him as much the fisrt time I saw the show. But I took a liking to him the second time through and now he's my fave. He's so kawaii as a chibi too. And then there's the no da thing. Ohhhhhh he's just the best. :D I want the special novel on him.

Least Fave: Miaka. I'll say no more. I'm sure you know or have heard it before.

Kinda notice that many of you don't like Miaka...poor girl. kinda like her, though.

Fave character:

Chiriko, why? he's so smart and so young.

Nuriko, he's so hilarious.

Tasuki, same as nuriko most especially when they join forces.


Least Fave:

Nakago and Tomo: they're hideous beings. I hate tomo's makeup...bummer.

Least favorite: Definitely Nakago, with Tomo being a close second! Nakago was just downright evil and Tomo gave me the creeps! :eek:

Well, I'll have to say Nakago ties with Tasuki for my favourite FY character, closely followed by Mitsukake (another often overlooked character), Nuriko, and Soi.

Tasuki, I don't think I have to explain. :)

Nakago? Similar reasons I like Akio, I suppose. He's manipulative, yes, he's a bastard, yes, but he's the classic tragic character that draws me. All he's experienced is manipulation, so it's just one easy step to turn that on others when he finds he's the one with the power now. It's no excuse for his actions, but what he's gone through gives him a depth of character that I like. And then, there's Soi. I suppose this is debatable, but not in my book: Nakago loves Soi. Of course, virtually everything else came first before feelings that he didn't know how to have, let alone develop, not even after Soi's passing (about the only thing I don't like Tasuki for...oh well). And just because of this post, I quick re-uploaded a page (done in part to prove Nakago cares for Soi) from a really old website: The Nakago-Carrying Soi Webpage (http://www.spasticvisions.f2s.com/nspics.html) :) It's connected to a short short that I wrote...I'd advertise more, but Fanfiction.net is down, and I'm too lazy to html the thing in Notepad right now...

Mitsukake is just cool (He owns Tama! --the cat! He has spikey hair!), Nuriko is himself, and Soi--see Nakago.

I can't really decide, but I like Tasuki and Chichiri a whole lot. Chichiri is just so smart and kawaii everytime he turns into SD mode and disappears into his little hat. I love Tasuki's crude humor and fiery temper...I love it when him and Tamahome always end up fighting...

I can't forget about Nuriko though, he's such a queen :D He's so purty too for a guy!!

I just don't like Nakago and Tomo at all. Tomo looks like a chicken who got lost in the make-up isle in a 99 cent store and Nakago just gives me the heebeejeebees

Ehh....? I'm guessing everyone has seen the anime here, then? I've only read some of the manga. (the manga is almost always better, to me)
My favorites would probably be Tamahome, Tasuki, and Chichiri....they're so cute! Tasuki and Chichiri can be so funny, too.
So why does everyone hate Miaka so much? Is she different in the anime than in the manga? Someone said 'worse than Usagi' from BSSM....that makes me never want to see the anime. :sweatdrop:
I guess my least favorite would be Nuriko or Nakago....I don't hate either one, but they just wouldn't be at the top of the list.

Favorite: Nakago, i cant help but idealize his prestige. How all fear him because he came from the west and holds this supreme power in sorcery, and is....the most powerful character in the show. Not one character could beat him on their own, they needed the others to help, only, push him away. I dont plan on spoiling the ending,so am going to say no more on his ability and strength.

Least: Yui, she was such a narrow minded fool. Simple as that, no more to comment on.

Favorite: Tamahome -- I think he's cool, and I don't mind the sappiness 'cause he's still cool.

Least Favorite: Miboshi -- Need I say more? I just want to kick him in the head.

As for Miaka, Nakago, Tomo, and the others...a lot of them are just in the middle. I don't really have an opinion either way.

From the Seryu side i like Amiboshi and Soi. I dunno why... but Soi is so interesting in my opinion... and I used to HATE nakago, but now i dunt. not after i saw the whole show. poor guy... been through so much. let's say i TOLLERATE him now... but yeah.. Soi and Amiboshi would have to go first!

who i hate: MIAKA and YUI! they ---- me off soooo much!!!!!!! stupid baka's! miaka is a food addict and yui's just plain idiotic believing a blond player over her best friend. and Tamahome.... well i can't say ne thing about him.... except that he's got no personality/good lines and that he should sue the company for making him look so damn ditzy!!!

Favorite: Tasuki and Chichiri (Tasuki because of that fan and his bad-ass attitude. Chichiri because of his character, plus I like guys with scars)

Least Favorite: Tamahome, Miaka and Yui (Sorry, but the two girls get on my nerves because they have no depth, and Tamahome because he's too sappy. Who falls in love with a person they only knew for a week anyway? Eh, Tamahome?)

The rest of the cast I have no problem with. :)

My favourites has to be the Byakko seishi Tatara and of the Seyryuu Nakago! =D

Tatara for being plain cool, and still in love with the Byakko no miko, and returning for her when she dies in the real world short after him. Love never dies, ne?

Nakago for trying to be evil, while he has sadness linguering all over his being. I just love his badass-attitude. And I don't believe that about him not being able to break through Miaka's "defense" when he was about to "rape" her, I just think he couldn't do it, since he didn't want to, and made up that lie.. *s*

Least favorite: Miboshi & Miaka
Miboshi for not dieing properly in the fight with Nuriko and Miaka speaks for herself. bleh.
