We haven't really talked about Sonoda-san much in this forum, so I thought the time had come:).
What other Manga has he drawn besides Gunsmith Cats and Riding Bean? Other projects I know of him being involved with were the character designs for Gainax's Otaku no Video (which I still need to see dammit), and the pro-doujinshi 'Chosen Ame', also with a lot of the Gainax Crew. I might sell my brother if it meant securing a copy of the legendary 'chosen ame', but hey I'd probably sell him for a stick of gum or a Life Saver so I guess that's not saying much.......
Post your information/worship/rants about Sonoda here. Anybody have his artbook by the way????

Kenichi Sonoda is cool!! :D I dunno if he has drawn any other manga asides from Gunsmith Cats, & Riding Bean..., but he did the chara designs for the original Bubblegum Crisis 2032-33 OAV series, & the Bubblegum Crash OAV series..., as well as the chara designs of Gall Force : Eternal Story, the Gall Force OAV's, Earth Chapter, Destruction, & Stardust War..., & Gall Force New Era...,
And I've got two of his artbooks...., Garden Party, & Artworks 1983-1997..., both books contain most of the same artwork, but Garden Party is a hard backed book, & comes in a slipcase...,

Damn Eva Fiend, your collection is truly worthy of awe.
I had no idea he did the chara designs for Bubblegum Crisis, although now that I think about it, it makes sense......

I guess his latest work would be "Exaxxion", a seemingly archetypical story about aliens taking over the world, a youthful hero and the ensueing robot fights, but on a closer look itīs more of a parody with many ironic remarks. At least I hope itīs meant to be one  , otherwise he must be deeply obsessed with huge, enormous, swelling... "guns".
Yeah, I bought his artbook (Artworks 1983-1997) from the Cartoon Gallery in Sydney a while a go. I was really impressed, the prints were amazing. It was rather expensive though.
