Just another Mech Anime?

Well I know i'm gonna get shot, hung, possibly other sadistic things...but I honestly will not get into another over hyped Mech series like Eva or Gundam. (dont get me wrong EVA is a GREAT series...however it was too overtalked to me, and I was a bit dissapointed)

Vandread does look a bit different, perhaps a bit more like Escaflowen? I'm just wondering if I should continue on with getting into Esca, or maybe get into Vandread instead? Are they similar or quite different. Esca is a bit light hearted, almost comedy some of the time...Vandread seems much more serious or is that just the apperance it gives?

They are compleatly different. But i must say i have only seen the Escaflowen movie. BUt from what ive seen they are both different types. Vandread is definatly a comedy. One of my friends compared it to tenchi.

I realy do like it from what ive seen. (Only the first few eps) But it depends on your tastes

yes, it is definatly comparable to tenchi, but with more mecha and a reasonable bit more serious

Vandread is definitely more comedy than Escaflowne. They're both great series, but Vandread is more fun =)

And I agree, it's comparable to Tenchi.
