Well I saw Vandread with my girlfriend and basically, from whhat I had heard from a few friends that had seen it, was that I told her that she was going to like it - more than me.
She agreed after about three episodes when all the men had been basically annihilated and the women pirtes had come in and thought the three surviving med were complete jerks and idiots...

I started thinking ...'my thoughts have some sort of a point... in most series/movies/sitcoms you see, as soon as a man acts like a jerk or an idiot it's always the women who laugh and call them 'male pigs' or something in that fashion.'

So i'm wondering, is there any logic in my possibility of assumption that Vandread is 'more fun' when watched as a female? (excuse the weird word usage, but they work)

Mhhhh
Well I really liked this first season.

My wife didn't really liked it even if she found Jura to be the best caracter around.

I laughed too when I saw how stupid men were in the first episode.

Women don't look so good neither :)

Gascogne explains it well when she describe her planet to Hibiki.

All my male friends love this show.
Hot chicks, good 3D art and nice plot ( kinda rushed by the end but how cares ).

just my 2 cents :)

It's such a shounen anime though...I mean, with all the fan service, you'd think more guys would like it....

OK, so maybe it's the whole "girl power" thing?

Well, I quite liked it for the plot and the mecha & starship action. The fan service is secondary ;)
