You know it's rather sad that so few people know about blue seed. I saw almost the entire series on the Action channel and I loved it. I only wish that I could see it again. This is a great anime. And I wish I knew some of the characters names still...

Yes, it is rather sad that such a great anime goes so unnoticed by the otaku public. Although there are other ways of seeing it now. Almost the entire series is being released on DVD this fall with the first two volumes already at stores. The tapes are still out and can be ordered from various video places. The only thing that is Really, really hard to find a copy of is the mysterious Blue Seed 2, the sequel. I know it was an OVA and only had a couple of episodes and that ADV has the rights to it and that there are fansub copies floating around somewhere, but with ADV not planning on doing anything with it for a while and me not being able to find anyone who has a fansubbed copy, it remains a mystery to me. That and the 2 volume manga which is yet to be translated and very hard to find to import.

Another very cool thing about this series is that I've yet to see more than one person cosplay it. Actually I'm planning on getting a large group of Blue Seed characters together to go to Anime Central. HEhehehe I've got the perfect skit too. If anyone is interested in Cosplaying Blue Seed at my favorite convention, let me know.

I guess the best way to raise awareness of Blue Seed other than making convention apperences as characters, is to make deals with otaku. Say you have a friend who has really wanted you to see their favorite anime, something you think is totally stupid or has gotten bad reviews. You tell that otaku that you'll watch theirs, if they will watch your's. ^_-

As a proud owner of the hard to find Blue Seed 2 OVA, I must agree that it is a shame that ADV has no plans to release it. It is simply awesome and provides a nice glimpse into the future for the main characters. Who ends up with who and what they are doing 2 years after Blue Seed ended. Plus the new character Valencia is the best... My one big complaint...ITS TOO SHORT !!! :mad:

I bet ADV is watching the sales of Blue Seed on DVD and deciding if they will do anything with Blue Seed 2. I would suspect it will never make it to DVD...which is a shame because it really is good.

Blue Seed is a VERY underrated series, IMO.

Actually there is only one person who has it, Isamu is getting my tapes...WHICH I PUT IN THE FED EX BOX TODAY!!!! Geez, you are impatient... :lol:

As for copies, I don't want to break any AB rules, but you could always email me and we could talk off the board. ;)

My copies are fansubs on VHS. The quality is OK, not DVD but still better than a lot of stuff I have seen. Ep 1 is better quality then ep 2, but for fansubs they are good.

I got mine at the local comic book store. Don't know where the owner got them, but he has a big selection of fansub stuff...
