Wow....I just watched the final four episodes and...wow. THis series kicks some major ass and the end just plain rocks. The ending alone puts this up to #6 on my top 10 anime list...

I HATE the last episode, what happens with Knives? Does he get with Meryl? What becomes of poor Millie?

If that's all the creaters have in store for us, isn't that where fanfics come into play? It would not hurt to be creative.

Fanfics suck ass. I want closure.

Closure?! What were you expecting? "Vash becomes a used Car salesman, marries Maryl, and Knives destroys the Rain Forest." :D

I especially like the second to the last episode where Vash is getting ready to go fight Millions (Knives)...that music rocks. I think they should make a SECOND Trigun...I'd like to see what Vash was doing all those 130 years before THIS series...ya know, stuff like him learning to sling a gun and so on...
As for the end, I thought the last actual 'battle' wasn't TOO great...I was expecting more I suppose, but I thought the end itself wrapped up pretty good...of course, maybe some words of wisdom spoken from Vash to Meryl after the battle would have really closed it for me....

Oh I don't know if I'd go THAT far...I wanted something crazy and in depth...something like when Vash rambles about crud for the next episode with that same music would have been perfect...all in all it was ending and a much better ending then MOST anime series.

Knives should have killed Vash, then taken Vash's women and then destroyed the world...or maybe he just should have hooked up with Meryl, either way:D

hate, no that does not work, do you understand the end? I'm sorry to ask but I was wondering, it was just kinda stoped though, it will continue in the Trigun Maxium so thats cool

I agree with So Full of Mercy, I need closure at the ending of the series. It was so vague...
I guess Millie should start her own puddin' factory and the darn cat is bound to get run over pretty soon...
I liked the openness of the ending. I mean you can actually debate what happened I like that. Like Eva. I mean you are never really sure whether he killed Knives....

I'm fairly sure he isn't going to kill Knives. . . as for him killing Vash and taking his women, he isn't nearly cool enough for that. Knives kinda sucked. . . that's my opinion at least. . . I kind of expected the guy leading Legato to be a bit cooler than that, but alas. . . it was not to be. I, too, would have appreciated something more at the end. . . not necessarily any different from Vash winning and keeping Legato alive, but perhaps some sort of revelation. . . something that would have left one with an idea to ponder. But, no, just, hey, let's shoot at each other a while. It was pretty disappointing. Perhaps what I would have liked couldn't be done, but still. . . it sucked. Knives sucked. The whole damn system sucks. A sequel series might restore a bit of faith, though. They might be able to pull it off well. ::shrug::

This ending was conclusive enough, i really didn't expect it to be anything different- you want to complain? watch berserk ! Thats a series where the ending is definetly leaves you hanging !
BTW my one complaint is that the series never went back and explained more on the Gung Ho Guns, vury much want to know the origin of legato !

I thought Knives was cool enough, I just wanted something to END things... leaving it open is ok if there is some deep question to ask, but there wasn't... and even then, I'd rather have a "Happily ever after, the end." I just like those, I like a good story over a deep query sometimes.

yeah I wished they mentioned more stuff on the Gun Ho Guns. Especially Legato...also I kinda wished they went more into the whole plant thing. I still liked it though.

He did live happily ever after though. That was made certain based on Vash's persona, since the only major problem in his life was Knives (Plus, he was smiling at the end of the credits hehe.). Whatever he did to Knives made him satisfied and he could finally put the whole Rem incident down. Now what actually happened to Knives is what made the ending flawed. But i guess they wanted Knives fans to stay happy by leaving it open for discussion.
All in all, i liked the ending. Then again, The Vision of Escaflowne is more confusifying, and i thought it was the BEST ending ever. :D

Will he get with Meryl? Will his life be normal, or will people still know he's Vash and make his life hell? What's he gonna do with Knives?

Those are all problems that he can handle though. When those bounty hunters came along in the first eppy, he looked like he was having a bit of fun. :p As long as Knives isn't making him kill people, i think that he'd be okay. He never suffered any mental anguish since his epiphany in episode 25. It was clear to him what he had to do, and he did it without regrets. He finally understood the philosophy of Rem's saying. That's all he needs to know assuming that he's immortal, and has the rest of time to figure stuff out and right his wrongs and stuff.

Yeah to me Legato was probably the most intriguing character in the series. A little more explanation of his life and his deep hatred of his own kind would be helpful. All in all though the ending was ok... not the best or worst ending I have seen. I suppose they had to leave the ending open for another series.... maybe.... hopefully?

Naw, I think the mystique of Legato and the 'Guns made them more interesting.
