Arjuna ~ Into the another world

Hi everybody!
I am a newie on these forums, so pleeaaase be kind with me :o
Can someone here tell me about the new japanime series "Arjuna"? I'd like to know what the story is about (I only know the music ...).

I just want to add that... I LOVE YOKO KANNO!!!! :p

It actually named "Earth Girl Arujuna", its about a girl who received godlike power to fight some alien invaders from another dimension. It seems that she and a few others are the only ones who can see and fight these alien invaders.

However that may be, I love weird and esoteric stories with a lot of mythology and it seems to me that "Arjuna" is a tibetan or Indian word but I don't know what it actually means.

By the way, I am searching for the french (or english) translation of the Indian Vedas (especially the Rig Veda). D'you know something about it?

I happen to really like the music for Arjuna myself, but I haven't been able to find any fansubbers selling it. I really need to see that series.

Well I am the owner of the first soundtrack of Arjuna (and of more than half of the masterpieces of Miss Kanno) and I would like to find the second one soon!!! :D
But is ther a site we can find the episodes?...
I doubt, coz' it is a recent anime

I don't remember well but I think RG Veda was never finished, I have only seen the first four eps(i don't even remember if its subbed or dubbed).

As for Arjuna, I have downloaded all six eps but haven't have the time to watch it.

Well for RG Veda, the OAV's never finished..that's a fact.
But the story has an end in the manga themselves!!!! (from....tadaaaam ==> CLAMP!)

The music in Earth Girl Arjuna is great. I've only seen the first six episodes too. Have episodes 7-13 (12?) even been subbed?

I had a feeling there where more than six, I have watched them all this afternoon. Guess I'll be looking for the rest sometimes this week.

You poor deprived animefans. Arjuna ended so long ago... its still not all subtitled??

I loved this show. The music is great. Tokio is cute. The story was quite well done.

Tokio REALLY loves Juna... you can't help but "awww" at his attempts with Juna.

I've watched the first couple of episodes and I found it to be ok. Great animation and music (Yoko Kanno!!!) but its a bit too tree huggingish for my taste. Sure the environement is important, but they take it to the extreme.
Oh, and I think Juna's quite ugly when she's transformed into her battle armor. (no offense Yumiko :heh: )

I found the last 6 eps, but I don't think they are subbed. And Mr_Bug is right, it is a bit tree huggish to the extreme. You might turn vegetarian or die of hunger if you take this anime to seriously.

ps. Yumiko, is Tsukasa using a Tokio image as avatar, probably from latter eps cause I haven't seen that scene yet.

Yes, Tsukasa's using a Tokio avatar... I think he should change it now that he's not blonde anymore... :p Its from somewhere later in the show, yes.

There are 11 episodes to the show. Tsukasa's avatar is from ep 9 I think.

Arjuna is a very good anime. I like it but I won't say anything until I see more than the first episode. I agree, the music is just plain awesome. Yoko Kanno has to be one of the best composers out there. Such beautiful inspiring music.
