what other anime should i see?

i'm looking for more of the serial experiments LAIN and neon genesis : evangelion type.

see, i've been a fan for well over ten years now, and i need some new anime to get into. my favourites are the ones {like EVA and SEL} which are psychologically fucked up. you know, plot twists and psychologic thrills... however, there aren't many that i haven't seen... and those that i haven't are usually on perpose. well, anyone who can help, i am more than grateful. take care.

from what i hear Perfect Blue is meant to be good, though im waiting on Pen2 to get it and tell me more.

i've heard the same great things about perfect blue, which i will get on dvd as soon as my blackmarket hookup is back {i get the actual thing for free} :B: and which SEL thread are you talking about? it's my second favourite anime!

starts out like some kiddie cartoon but it proved me wrong as the story progresses. Nadia's dad sure is messed up. heh heh heh. He's so much like Gendo too... hm...

I don't know, check it out. Nice music and story.

Samurai X
Ruruoni Kenshin OAV. You don't have to know the animated series to sink into this one. I'm not sure if this is the right title, since the other Samurai X i know is the one that features Jubei and a female ninja who is poisonous to the touch. Why does Tomoe have to die?!!! huhuhu....

Petshop of Horrors
Believe it or not, this is one heck of an anime. I dont know the Japanese title but this one is really good. It's about a petshop that supposedly grants you happiness, contentment, joy... etc... for a price. If you don't abide by the rules, you die.

Darkstalkers
I've only seen um... 8 episodes? not so twisted but you have to appreciate the animation and the depth created on the characters.

Shadow Skill
there are currently two out in the US and it has great animation and plays on the traditional Anime storyline. It's pretty good, but not as twisted.

Although not an anime,(it's an american cartoon), though perhaps anime influenced, The Maxx is similar to Eva in its character self analysis. It is also quite funny.

Definately worth a look.
