I've been to a few Evangelion sites, but the most sites on a certin character it would be on Rei, well it must be the people.

If you look at English speaking Eva sites it's Rei, Rei, Rei, with a few Auska's and Misato's. BUT if you go to Japan sites it Auska, Auska, Auska, with a few Rei and Misato's. (Whats wrong with Misato, She must have Cooties).

Maybe it's the fact (trying not to be racist) that the english speaking people know what red heads are because there quite common over here, so blue hair is fasinating. While over in Japan because most, if not all people are born with black hair they find the red heads Attractive. The Japanese probally realise that Blue hair is not realistic unless died. Also there are a lot of Blued haired people in Japanese Anime so maybe that's another reason. I could be wrong but that's my opinion. I haven't seen a Shinji shrine yet.

Actually i heard it's the other way round - a lot of westerners respect Asuka's "rugged individualism" while japanese go for Rei's "calm demeanor" I'm more of a Rei fan than i am an Asuka fan (her voice really grates when you watch Eva as much as i do :) ) but Misato's probably my fav


and i'm currently finishing up a Pen² shrine. What does that say about the state of my mind?

Yeah, I'd thought it was the other way around (actually, how about Rei only?). I remember, I have this sound file of an Eva Drama Script (Is that right? They're trying to think of a new season for the series. It was named eva-A-02 if anyone else has it from when Symphony of Eva was up). The translation had a part with Rei yelling at Asuka.
Um. . .I guess that didn't help much, just that it had a line about Rei being more popular than Asuka in polls.

Well heres my two cents

if Rei can be taken as Mem (the second Mother letter, Asuka as Shin and Shinji as Aleph- see my webpage for details- if i remember how to uplaod stuff0

Now Mem is a female Letter, both Aleph and Shin are male.

This puts Rei on par witht eh archetypal Female, and would thus gernerate a greater attraction than the othr two.

Did I just read that right? They're trying to make a new season for Eva? Or is this really old news, and I'm just making a smuck out of myself by being really exciting over this? Because, when I originally finished watching the series and movie, I thought that I would love it if they made more episodes and stuff, but with all the events that happened in EOE, it would be a bit difficult.

I believe (hope) it was just made for comedy, especially with some of the things they put in it.

I've been hearing/reading rumors as well, although i doubt that it will ever come into a reality - but just in case, i would really want to see a new season, perhaps based on the alternate reality shown in tv ep 25/26?, the one where Shinji and Asuka are childhood friends. One good mystery would have to be Rei's origin - since Yui didnt merge with unit 01.

What were we talking about? :heh: Oh yeah. Well, I've read the translated script to drama, and that can't be ANYTHING but a bit of comic relief! Shinsentai Evangelion? Just think of the awfulness! I mean, at the end of that track, the phone calls were all meant to be complaints from the viewers! (Did anyone else hear that hilarious version of episode 1 using only the characters mouths and a comb + paper? :lol: )

Although, about the shrines... I can't see why everyone likes Rei so much. As Asuka said, she really IS a wind-up doll! Come on, people... are you telling me you think Rei is better than Yui?!?

Gendo (yikes!)

I have not seen shrines to:

Ritsuko (thank God!)
Shinji (no real surprises there)
Kaji (and why not? Kaji rocks!)

That's my 2 cents...no wait, better make it 2.2 cents (inc. GST). :D

Well, I HAVE seen a shrine to Shinji... but it was written by a guy who liked the look of Shinji's butt, and it had links to Shinji and Kaworu Shounen Ai. *shudder* *choke* *die*. I stayed there for about 0.5 seconds, and then shoved off to a Mr. T shrine...

I haven't seen any Ritsuko ones either, but then given the fact that Ritsuko is a rancid dog, that's probably for the best. :lol:

i think there should be a few more misato shrines ;) and on the note of making a second series being hard because of EoE: you could simply get around that problem. just massively spam the eva community the fact that EoE was a "what could have happened" kinda thing, but not what "really happened" and the new series would be "what really happened"

and I beleive I saw a Kaji shrine somewhere. It wasn't that good though...

Yes, and fear it thou must! I did see another Shinji shrine, but it was a sensible one... but at the time I didn't know about the Tabris thing, and it spoiled it for me. :(

I found a shrine to Kaji's watermelons, but it crashed my PC with some weird HTML...

But, I myself am building three shrines as subsections on my site... one to Hikari, one to Yui, and one to, erm, Hikari's pajamas. :P

But, End of EVA and Tape 13 tie up... I think Tape 13 was what happened when Shinji was in Lilith in EoE.

Maybe because there's not as much of a verbal fanbase for her as there are for the other characters...there are a love of people who _like_ Hikari, but not many that _love_ Hikari. She's still cute, though. :)

I don't think it's an airtime issue. Kaworu was only in one episode, and he has tons of raving fans. (Granted, he's a bit of a special case, but the point still stands.) Anyway, I have no time for further comment, as I must now go and imagine Hikari in a pink plugsuit...:)

You're right about the Kaworu thing. I mean, it worked with me, just look at my avatar and my signature! I think that's because Kaworu was one of the deepest characters, and also because of how brilliant the battle with him was. And his taste in music. (And for some people out there, his 'appearances' with Shinji also seem to make him popular *shudders with fear*).
Maybe if they elaborated more on Hikari, like her past or deeper into her mind/feelings, then more people would notice her...

I'm not a Kaworu supporter by choice...I had a mate who was big on his philosophy (no, not the 'sleep with Shinji one...:))...greeted me all the time with, 'I was waiting for you'...so eventually he got in my head. He is a very good contribution to the series, though...he represents all the hope and faith that was taken from the pilots in the series, an I like that...'cause you gotta have faith. :D
