I've actually never seen the animated Oh My Goddess! but I've been introduced to the series through the manga. So who else is a fan of the manga?

I've seen them around, and read a few… Urd is still as dirty as she is in the TV Series…

yeah, I've read the first 117 chapters and I really like it. The story much more complete then the anime and the drawings are excellent (well... maybe not at the beginning :heh: )

Well, early manga Urd (before Terrible Master Urd) fits that bill, but being confronted in a big way with her heritage was really good for her. By the time The Devil In Miss Urd was over with, she was at peace enough with herself to call World of Elegance back from her banishment.
My main problem with the OAV series was how they treated both Belldandy and Urd. In Belldandy's case, Fujishima was beginning to calm her down since Skuld could act as Urd's foil. The OAV took that to the extreme, though, toning her down more than Fujishima had intended. As for Urd, Fujishima was just starting to develop her older sister/mentor aspects but the OAV almost completely ignored this side of her, taking her character further down the wacky road while Fujishima was maturing her in the manga.

The manga isn't showing any signs of ending any time soon. Just recently, Fujishima has introduced a bunch of new characters in the last 2 years or so:
Urd's Mom - we've all heard about Hild, right?
Keiichi's parents - not at all what I was expecting!
The 5th goddess - a valkyrie trained for combat, Lind (Rind?) is one tough cookie.
Hi, I'm new member here and a fans of OMG (I mean a big fans)

I haven't picked up Volume 23, but I'm familiar with the chapters that are included in it. The biggest storyline there is Keiichi's parents, Keima (father) and Takano (mother).
i have only seen the first episode of the ova and thats all.... i grew to like oh my goddess because of the mangas. :D im hoping id get to see the anime soon.
I'm a fan of the manga. Just picked up the Fourth Goddess TPB by Dark Horse, heh, some funny stuff in this one.

Isn't Peorth a riot? She's the perfect foil for Belldandy. After Skuld showed up and the Bell/Urd fights stopped, Belldandy hasn't had someone to turn her world upside down - until Peorth showed up. The whole "If Keiichi is truly happy with Belldandy then why did he (even unintentionally) summon Peorth?" question just ate away at Belldandy, poor girl. It was also a riot seeing Peorth trying to fulfil Keiichi's "deepest desire." Hehe, she did but not in a way anyone could have guessed. The ending of that story was really cool.
NOTE TO PEORTH FANS: Start checking out the comics stores, because Peorth is showing up again in the next issue of the Dark Horse Oh MyGoddess! :D
