It depends on your taste.

The story is about a little robot girl who's inventor dies, and tells her that if she find 30 million friends(or was it 30 thousands?),she'll become human. So little innocent Key goes to Tokyo to find 30 million friends and find out how it will make her a human.

There's a good dose of fanservice,I personally liked it

I couldn't say this is for kids.I won't say spoilers but some of what happens is definitely not for kids (not hentai stuff though, but close sometimes)

i would recomend it. i liked it alot. but dont rent the dubs! youll be sorry if you did. they redo all the songs in english, and its bad. well the theme song was alright, but the rest of the songs are bad in english. the ending kinda suprised me. but i wont talk about it cause i dont want to post any spoilers.

I don't know if I'd qualify the nudity in Key as fanservice... It's a little too disturbing for that. Really, the nudity is presented in such a way so as to make as unappealing as possible. I don't mean it's gross or anything, but it just doesn't push the switches the way it's presented, and I don't think it was meant to. So please don't think of it as a wild, nude and bloody fanservice romp. There's really quite a complex mystery moving the plot along. I'm not a huge fan of the show, but it's really more like a dark science fiction novel than anything else.
