I thought it was laid to rest that the FLCL movie was a screw-up on GAINAX's website?

Maybe its just a compilation of the series as a whole like they did with Evangelion... with extra footage....

FLCL won't have a Motion Picture. The confusion about this subject was born in the English version of Gainax's official web-site when they called "The Movie" to digitalized videos (avi, mov, rm, etc.) of the OAV's trailers. In the Japanese version, they replaced the "The Movie" section with some info of the Background Music. So, we can say that Furi Kura (the 6th and last OAV, released on March, 16th) is the end of the story and, in my opinion, it is awesome.


it also seems that part of the site hasn't been updated in a while... still there may be some hope for new flcl *crosses fingers*!

so that whole thing about a movie on the Gainax website was a lie?! i think im gonna cry.....

Have you heard anything about the FLCL movie: I first saw it mentioned on Gainax's [english] website, but the specific page was almost a year out of date. When I last checked, the entire page had been replaced with 'Trailers will start being shown in February.' If there is anything more known, I'd appreciate hearing about it.

The Furi Kuri "movie" was a translation error. That website was simply a preview for upcoming OVA episodes.
I'm going with this for now...
