View Full Version : About the ending...
BEWARE..........Spoilers Below
About that final conversation between Yuuhi and Touya. So Touya doesn't have long to live, could someone explain why? And when Touya dies he's giving Aya to Yuuhi, isn't that kinda wrong? I mean shouldn't Aya choose, shouldn't one's misfortune not become one's opportunity?

Touya gave the haragomo, the thing which created him and was giving his powers to him, to Ceres, so like he's now a normal human, no special powers, and he will live 'till he wasted all the energy he has left... He dunno how much time that will take.
And yeah... Touya nodding... I was traumatised! oo;
Okie, not really... But anyway, yeah, I found that sooooooooo darn weird... I know Touya only wants Aya to not be alone... But darn he doesn't need to nod like that! ><; When he will die, those two will do what they darn want, no need for his approuval... I find it wrong too... but more totally weird. oO;
this is my interpretation ^_^
Tooya's nod is more like a 'nod' of acceptance and respect for Yuuhi. He knows Yuuhi loves Aya also and he understands that he won't be around for that long. It's almost like he is showing Yuuhi that he accepts and respects Yuuhi's feelings towards Aya and when he dies, he hopes that Yuuhi will look and watch over Aya and the baby.
i know that sounds bad - but i think that is what Tooya generally has in his mind. He doesnt want Aya to be alone, raising the child by herself and also for the child's sake, he wants his kid to have the warmth and happiness of two loving parents (in other words, what he was deprived of) - a mother and a father. Tooya hopes for Yuuhi to become an important person and to also have an important role in the child's life. So I think that is what Tooya meant by the 'nodding'.
fascinating all that but.... The reason I enter the thread is to know the ending... Is Tooya really going to die?? with who Aya will end up?? Yuhi?? I'll be very pleased if someone tell what happenned in the real end! thank you...

Well...

Err, to make it a bit short, not too many details so it's still enjoyable for you to see it... Touya was created by the haragomo.... Aya is transperced by the ancestor person... Touya gives her the haragomo to like, revive her and make Ceres leave... Which means he doesn't have his source of power anymore... Aki dies.. (That's soooooo damn sad! ;___; ), and the very ending is pregnant Aya on a chair... Touya saying he still has 1 year, or 5, he doesn't know... and he's _nodding_ at Yuuhi... Meaning he can "have" Aya when he'll be gone... My interpretation of course... That part disturbed me.. >> Anyways, last thing we see is "we trust in the children future" or something like that.... That was all animé of course....

I was sadded that Aki has to die and that Touya's life span is shortened :bawling:
I have to admit, the series is so good I actually cried at the ending...honest.
Yeah.. errr.. I just watched the ending. I think they probably could NOT have dragged it out so long. I did like the series, though. Even though it was a REALLY bad sub. My friend got it off Ebay for $40. All of it. It was subbed in Japan, therefore it's a direct translation. Bleh. "Little Fairy why to kill your father. Why to kill him?" Right.
As for the ending, I agree with Matsu. Tooya was just approving of Yuuhi's feelings. ^_^ I think it's pretty cool of him, actually.
the subbed version that i got was pretty good...but you did get it directly translated from Japan, so its different version i guess...nevertheless glad you liked the series ^_^
Tooya is cool, but my liking for him is overshadowed by the sheer presence and character of Yuuhi ^_~
I'm afraid Aki does it for me. ^_^ He's so cute! And really, really freaking insane. Then Yuuhi, THEN Tooya. But they're all cool. ^^
i've said it once, and i'll say it again - i absolutely love the evil Aki....^_^

When Aki first turns evil he's cool, but when he holds Touya up trying to kill him, he seems more like a psycho than cool.
Aki was probably in the most unfortunate situation in the series. He didn't get much time on-screen and he ended up dying.
Pretty much the same reasons as Chidori, only Aki went through hell before he died, Chidori didn't.
yeah, but the 'psychotic' and evil side is just much more interesting.

With the exception of crazy god character like Belldandy, all character would supposely die in the end.
Now Tooya might live alot longer if
1. Ceres comes back to lend the Hamargo
2. Just use the man made one Aki used....or make another one or something.

1. Ceres comes back to lend the Hamargo
It's HAGOROMO my dear.
2. Just use the man made one Aki used....or make another one or something.Its pretty much impossible to create another one of the original hagoromo. Imagine the side effects and defects if you create numerous duplicates of it.

Ah, I finally finished watching it yesterday. It took me nearly half a year! Anyhow, I liked the whole earlier part of the last episode, and Aki dying was quite sad. The ending scenes, were, well, too sunny. The sun was really quite glaring, though of course this is meant to represent a happy ending or the likes, but it wasn't too subtle. Anyhow, the sunnyness was about the only quelm I had with the ending, and it isn't really a big deal.
The bit with Touya nodding to Yuuhi was a little weird, but I think Matsu's interpretation is a good one.
Aside from the over sunnyness, the whole last episode was pretty good.
