Neo Evangelion

I've come to an understanding that it's what you guys call Furi Kuri. I have never seen the anime, so I have no idea what it could stand for. In fact, I first heard about Furi Kuri like 2 weeks ago on AB (for some reason, I never saw this forum before that). Booyaka.

At the time we needed a title desperately, so we used that. I always wanted to make a title from an English name made shorter, like `pocket monsters.'

Actually in the first episode Haruka tells our main character that it means this really long scientific name and then prepares to attack him with her guitar.

But it does actually mean Fooly Cooly. In fact that's the name of this forum, if it was romanized. You see in Japan there is no letter L, but the letter R can be substitued for it (hence why in the DBZ manga Kullilen might be called Kurriren).

Hence Furi Kuri=Fooly Cooly

I thought it was FLictonic CLiple (FURIkutoniku KURIperu), but it could be one of those titles with multiple meenings like RPG Tsuku-ru, which means both RPG Maker and RPG Cool Tool (or tool cool, whatever...)
Still doesn't make any sence though

BTW, Neo Evangelion, in case you didn't already know, FLCL is by Gainax, and drawn by Yoshiyuki Sadamoto, the same ppl responsible for Eva. :)

Yes and Kare Kano too. I heard someone say if you pronounce FLCL (Furi Kuri) it really means a Japanese girls 'fooling around' with a guy. Dunno. ;)

LOL, I saw that too. I think that at the beginning of the first OVA, it says "Furi Kuri" means to fondle breasts or something along that lines!

Erm............I hate to scare Chikiboo-chan but actually it DOES mean to fondle, knead, fool-around or...PLAY even with breasts.
I was close to saying that (besides, "nyo", "oro", "nyu", "ho-weeeee", "myuu" and "no da") but then I realise that it means to fondle...erm...parts. So I refrain myself from saying it, saving myself from the embarassment I'm about to say other words.

Hugs the entire FLCL DVD collection she borrowed from an anime exec of AnimeUNSW Yes there''s more then six last I count.

This is the FLCL Forum's 1000th post.

Hmm, I'd say FLCL stands for Freaks Loving Curry Lunches.
