I just watched it and I think it's pretty interesting so far. It looks like they got away from all those other motherships and a new type of enemy is attacking them. The intro seems to be a remix of the original intro and uses some parts of new series in it. The song has a nice beat but the lyrics... let's leave that aside. They all seem to be the same and it looks like Hibuki is still a pimp daddy. They also found a new girl with a virutal thingy around her that represents her emotion, need to find more about her.

From what I have seen, they change the entire opening sequence. Its looks more like a Noir(or Cowboy Bebop) opening, where every maincharacter fade in and then fade out. Also the opening song was just plain terrible, painfully(as in my ear can't take anymore, next time I'll skip the intro) bad english thru the whole song, not just a part of it. Also the music was off beat, with this weird techno like sound and then jungle beat I think(I am not going to listen to it again:( )
From what little I can understand, I think the new girl is refering to Hibiki as grandfather(or something like that).
The animation is almost the same as season 1, but Meia suddenly has no chest anymore, remember in season 1 she was lets just say very well endowed. Coloring is a bit different which is somewhat irritating since I am used to season 1 coloring.

Nope its not out yet, I have the raw Japanese version without subtitles.

The subtitled version is out.
Zereul released his own version. Elite-Fansubs is still taking their time. I got the Zereul version, right now I'm waiting for E-F version to compare which one is better.
Grandfather? They translated as "my prince."
yeah i've got the ghost sub of it also, I like the intro though

Like I said, I don't know Japanese, it sounds like ochii to me, I have never heard them saying prince so it probably "my prince". My bad:heh:

Wow... just finished watching it...
I loved it. So there are differences between the two.. it doesn't bother me... all the changes were better.
The lines are a bit thinker and the CG is twice as good....
They know hwat they are doing now, things are so much more poloshed. I love it :)

All i can say was damn :D I think im going to enjoy this season better than the last. The CG blending with the animation was a world better than the last time and now well hell :D Everything is smoother and more polished as StramiT said. Now to watch Final Fantasy Unlimited and Crest of the Stars Season 2 episode 1..... hellsing should be out soon also...and if im correct i think cowboy bebop movie will fall on thursday to the public.

Yeah, the FFU was pretty interesting, I wonder if Cid will show up in this one? Back to Vandread Season 2, I guess the new art style is trying to emphasize the characters with thick/thin lines. I've noticed a change of voice in that blonde guy (forgot his name, the one who goes into the ship), maybe it's just me.
E-F version is out? Hmmmm, interesting.

I just watched EF version and you where right Ochii Sama does mean Prince Lord.
ME want, me want. To bad I can't download it myself. I'll have to wait untill one of my friends gets it.

Update: Episode 4 is out, so the subs should be around in a few days, I have been skimming through it and Mr. Rat Bastard is back:)
