Lady Tokimi, Washu and Tsunami?

Can anyone tell me the connection if any between Lady Tokimi, Washu and Tsunami?

This is all just theory, but.....

They are sisters, thus they are all Goddesses.

I didn't think of that. It does explain that scene with the Tenchi episode when Lady Tokimi shows herself to Dr. Clay. You see two rows of dark figures appear, then Lady Tokimi appears and two shadow figures appear by her right shoulder and left shoulder. I thought these figures looked like Washu and Tsunami. I think the episode I am talking about is episode 11: The Advent of the Goddess.

well, i've heard that washu, tsunami and lady tokimi are sisters too. but i forgot where ive heard that.

they are sisters!!! and Washu was the most powerful of the three. but she was stripped of her powers( i forgot why, but i know that tokimi has something to do with it ). she can regain her powers back through ryoko(thats why she made ryoko) if ryoko could acquire the three gems that is embeded on sword tenchi. ryoko can be as powerful as the other goddess', she can generate ten light hawk wings.

yeah, i've heard about that bleed. but the tenchi anime gets really confusing coz in tenchi universe, the story changes and so did in the tenchi in tokyo series. :confused:

As I thought as well, I was just watching tenchi come on and kabow!!! It went from the OAV to the TV series. I was like, "Gosh darnit!! What is goin on??" I later learned that these other series were merely alternatives to the OAV. The TV series (Tenchi Universe) is supposed to be how Tenchi remembered it from the OAV series. Confused? Yer not the only one

Washu is one of the three Goddesses in the Tenchiverse, one of Tokimi's sisters. It seems that Washu entered the lower dimension of her own free will for reasons still unclear, but her memory relating to being a goddess was completely blocked. Of Tokimi and her two sisters, Washu is the free-spirited one, while Tsunami is the gentle one, and Tokimi is the mysterious one.

and if you want to know what follows on from that, dont bother with the anime,
move onto the manga

Well i would strongly suggest you get the first two volumes of the manga, as that tells the story of Minagi.

After that you will be hooked so it wont matter in what order you get the rest, though i believe volumes 4, 5 and 6 are all one story (well they are all one story in the big picture, with a few smaller stories in there as well, very Tenchi like indeed)

Lady Tokimi,Washu, and Tsunami are sisters, also known as goddesses. Not much is known about Lady Tokimi, and Tsunami though.Except that Tsunami is a Goddess, Major hint there! :wavey:

I don't rememer where I heard this, but Washu is one of the three Godesses. When her Godess powers were taken they were stored in the gems, so Washu ceated Ryoko to access that power. If Ryoko had all of the gems she would be the most powerful force in the Tenchiverse.
