Ok... in response to my previous thread... how do you become a seishi?

-chosen by god or miko?
-chosen by miko subconciously?
-a reflection of the chosen miko... different aspects of the miko.

Seishi are born under a star sign for their beast god, and are chosen by that god to represent him and protect the chosen miko. They actually don't reflect the priestess in any way, shape, or form. If there is any connection at all, then it would be through the beast god, for both are chosen by him.

Hnn... A research would be needed, but I'm sure it is related to the constellations.. You know? All Seishi being named after constellations of the Chinese beliefs.... By researching about the old Chinese astrology etc, I'm sure it would explain the personnality of each Seishi... In the series, they clearly state that the Seishi were destined to be at the Miko's service from their birth. ^^

Pretty much what the prevous two said, the Seishi are chosen by their god to be protectors of the Miko - and they are drawn to her once she enters their world.

Oh, and most importantly, a Seishi must have a birthmark which will glow whenever someone looks at it or at perfect moments ;)

The manga implies that the birthmark only appears when the seishi's power is available and glows when in use.

Hehehe. I love it when Chiriko in the middle of saying something brainy/important, kops a bonk to the head and loses his power. :lol:
