i'm not sure, but she may be referring to the part early in the series when hotohori and tamahome use their blood to save miaka.

In Japan, the different bloodtypes are supposed to mean different things about your personality, like starsigns, which they are sometimes tied in with.

Anyways, Hotohori can't give blood to Miaka, cause she's type B and he is type A, so his blood cells would end up being clotted when they end up in Miaka's blood stream.... someone messed up! (Tamahome can give blood to Miaka, though)

Thank you Jenfa... thank you so much... I mainly posted this since I was asking the same question myself... what do blood types mean... but no... i got some weird ass responses... only one person seem to make any sense on my rants... oh well...

The first thing that did pop out of my head was, "isn't miaka going to die with Hotohori's blood?" Just as Jenfa's stated, Hotohori's help would only make her die... i guess its just part of the magic from that transfusion that's allowed miaka to accept the B blood cells...

Yeah, maybe there was some weird magical way to remove the little proteins on the surface of the blood cells that make the blood of whatever type.
Has to be some reason Miaka didnt die ;)
