To all who know the answer:
What type of anime is Nadisco?
See, here's what happened in the past: I started watching Cowboy Bebop but the first episode I watched was ep. 4 (the eco-terrorist one). I thought it was gonna be more comic action than serious action so I was set in the wrong mood when watching the rest.:confused:Expecting Trigun style but was very depressed by ending. Caught me by suprise.
Is Nadisco a funny thingie?

I can sum it up in one phrase. LETS GO GEKIGENGAR!!! if your looking for comedy this is one you want to check out. giant robots "That's the way real men should fight!" space aliens and OH MY GAWD ITS GAI DAIGOJI!!!!(He rulz) there are serious parts so it's not comedy all the time but it is deffinetly worth the buy.

Thanks dude for the advice.
Nadesico is mostly comedy, but there are some serious events in a couple episodes. Just watch it and be open-minded, it's a great series :D
It has a lot of comedy, but has a rich storyline which is never knocked at all. It's something that you can really get into without getting to depressed. as it said in Gekigengar "LET'S GO PASSION!" god i love that line...
There was a whole thread asking if people thought it more of a space opera or comedy. The concensus seemed to be that while genuinely hilarious all the way through, Nadesico starts off as more of a comedy, and shifts more towards being a space opera about mid way.
But it is definitely one of my favorite shows (running neck and neck with Tenchi for the top spot), and worth watching even if you only had enough time to watch the entire series before you die. Let's Go With Hot Blooded Anime.

Yeah, this series has good reviews, so it's on my "buy it if I see it cheap" list. I predict that it is worth seeing!
Nadesico starts out as a comedy.....and ends up as a drama with comedy thrown in. Its good...trust me..

So it's sotra like Trigun. I like Trigun.
I havent see trigun but i love it.
Think big mecha + comedy + a good plot.

Nope well ... maybe ..
For tose that've seen Prince of darkness know that Nadesico has a mixed ending while Trigun was good all the way.
But the story/comedy build-up is the same. Although trigun is a bit more 'depresing' before the end.

nadesico is a nice balance between space opera and comedy, but as it has been said berfore, it gets more serious as the series goes on. starts off silly, but then goes serious. by the time the movie happens, its almost entirely serious.
and peacekeeper, good luck and enjoy the anime. don't gruble too much about ADV's presentation though.
definatly. I believe another member's summing-up was:
spaceships go fwoosh
guns go blam
mecha go stomp
girls go "AKITO!!!"
