How did the Jovians come to be?

I've got about half of the series, but all of a sudden teh Jovians appear and apparently they have collonized Jupiter in their thousands....so how come no-one on Earth knew about them?
It's pretty hard to cover-up something that big and how come they have the industrial capacity to create so many lizards? And who's supplying them with the materials? and where did they get this technology with outdate's Earth's? someone please tell me.

Well you can mine materials a hell of alot quicker in a zero-G enviroment. You can possibly build ramscoop vessels that would skim off hydrogen from the upper atmosphere of Jupiter. Metals and other heavy elements you can mine from any of the moons, comets, asteriods or any other space junk that gets captured by Jupiter's massive gravity well.

The Jovian "lizards" are actually humans who were cast off of Mars 100's of years before. They were the original settlers of Mars and as Earth expanded they were pushed off of Mars and forced to Jupiter. The leaders of Earth covered it up but they knew they were there the whole time. As for the advanced technology they knew about the boson jumping because of the alien artifacts on Mars and Jupiter. The Jovians had access to the boson crystals that the Earth forces did not.

So.....the original settlers were an independant lot, while the Akito type settlers were the Earth goverment endorsed ones...ahh..it makes more sense now..., but i still don't see hoiw you cover a whole immigration like that up. Plus the fact that no-one knew who they were on Earth.

I don't know about the rest of the world, but here in the US we are a people without a history. If you don't force history down our throats, no one will ever learn it. So if someone tried to hide the fact here it wouldn't be hard. Plus they do know about the war for lunar autonomy (the cause of the settlers migrations further out into the solar system, first to mars then jupiter), but only the high-up government and military powers were aware of the Earths involvment. To the general public of earht it just looked like a lunar civil war, in which earth was completely neutral. Yet another conspiricy to add to the list of nadesico twists.

The government just took them out of the history books, and as they say out of site out of mind. And since the jovians major force was made up of unmanned weapons, who would be the wiser. It's discussed in the the episode about the X-tavalis (not your ordinary estivalis).

It's also not a serious anime, so you can let a few things slide. It's not that improbable that events that happen millions of miles from Earth would be too hard to cover up.
