Oma = Transexual?

I found it confusing them Ezra explains to Duero how women make babies.She says the Oma gives a seed to the Fama.But Ome or Fama,where can they find a seed?Do they clone the Oma's DNA and put's the result in the Fama?

But there's another thing.In episode 6 where we see Meia's story,we can see her parents and...her Oma looks very masculine to me.

I think they already has the seeds before they left earth and its just a matter of cloning and mass producing of those seeds, they have the technology, so basicly they don't need men. There is probably this man hating mentality on the planet, so being an transexual still wouldn't qualify you as a female. The reason why the Oma is bulky is well, several reason actually. Imagine a world where only female live, the hardworker, miners, construction worker etc are all women, so some would be bulkier than others. Meia Oma, is head of the family so she is the worker in the family. Also have you seen a lesbian, I am not insulting any lesbian here, but some of them looks even more menacing then guys do, don't believe what you have seen in porn movies, those girls don't have a lesbian side to them, they are just in for the money.

Nope, asuming they are technologicaly advanced like the male planet, then there is only a need for DNA(parents) material and one single worm is enough to make millions more copies. But asuming that they where only meant to last two generation, freezing a lot of tubes with worms is enough, I think.

I understood the process to be simalar to the IVF program. Eggs are taken from the mother (or int his case the Oma) and fertilised. Normaly this would be done with sperm but it can be done with any cell in the body. So the "seed" is actualy an egg from the Oma's ova, ut is fertilised using genetic material from the Fama and is then implanted in whichever carry's it to term( I wasn't sure wich one that was).
