I have finally seen "oh! My Goddess" and loved it! only the first 4 episodes tho :-(
don't know when I'll see more. it reminds me a heap of Tenchi (Urd being Ryoko, Shuld being a mix of Washuu and Sasami)

It's better than Tenchi.........

I strongly suggest you see the final episode, since it is the best one of the five. Then there is the movie and the Super Deformed Urd and Skuld spin-off series..........

Enjoy :D

Finish the series PKO! and if you can, get your hands on the movie as well. And of course the Mini-goddesses adventures...

*side note* Never really thought I would see either You or Schizm in here... :heh:

I've already discussed all I can discuss about Ah! My Goddess........Right back in the dim past of AB.

Only 4 episodes? It's only 5 eps long...

I think Tenchi is better, but Oh! My Goddess is pretty cool.

I suggest you finish all of it *gets a gun*, for your own health.
Personally I don't think OMG reminds anything 'bout Tenchi at all (not from the little I've seen of the latter anyways)...
OMG's great and really worth finishing ^_^... and I suggest you get your hands on the movie and manga too.

They're both romantic comedies involving super powerful women and not so powerful guys (though later Tenchi does seem to have some power).

Main differance being that the leading male character in OMG has declared who he loves. Tenchi dodges the subject. Plus you can't compare goddesses to super powered mortals. You just don't mess with an angry goddess.

That's the great thing about Keiichi that the OMG clones have seemed to miss. Keiichi KNOWS what he wants, and he doesn't hesitate to do whatever he has to in order to keep it.

Bell-chan and Urd, as different as they are, share a basic quality when it comes to love. They both need to be the most important thing in their man's life. Neither will stand for being second to career or especially to another woman. That whole hand-holding episode in the manga was because Bell-chan couldn't stand the thought of Keiichi going off to work and leaving her at home every day. As for Urd, Troubadour :redhot: lost her forever when he decided to put career before love, even termporarily.

Keiichi may know what he wants... but I think he hesitates, a LOT... he was PLOTTING to KISS her for goddess' sake.

The important thing isn't what *we* or *society* (Heavenly or otherwise) want or expect him to do, the important thing is what Bell-chan wants him to do.

And, so far, he seems to have done just that for the most part. Could you or I, any of us have done better? I'm not saying Keiichi's the ideal 'manly man', I'm just saying he's Bell-chan's ideal 'manly man'. :D
