In 1.0 Shinji loses control of EVA-01 and it controls itself
in 8.0 Shinji loses control of EVA-01 and it controls itself
In 10.0 Shinji loses control of EVA-01 and it controls itself
Apart from knowing that Shinji can't control his EVA, Why is it that in 10.0 EVA-01 consumes Shinji??? Why dosen't EVA-01 consume Shinji in 1.0 and 8.0???

I you still haven't got it after rewatching, here it is. Shinji was absorbed because had acheived over 400% synch with Unit 01, but the other time seemed to just be the soul of Yui within the Eva trying to protect her son, or something as such

Doesent it have something to do with when the eva power dies and shinji gets fed up with trying to get the eva to move....
