In "Auska Strikes" (0.4) when Auska tells Shinji that his Eva is Inferior to hers because Shinji syncronised with his Eva straight away, is that right or is the reason because Shinji missed his mother so much, and that they both shared the same DNA, that they just clicked like yin and yan

Would Eva's have DNA???

Auska tells Shinji that his Eva, being a TEST TYPE, is Inferior to hers because he syncronised with his Eva straight away. Whereas her's is the FIRST COMBAT MODEL built for real battles, so based on Asuka's viewpoint, Eva 02 is better than 01.

as for eva having DNA, perhaps, after all, Eva's are clones.

Shinji synched with his eva so well because his Mothers sopul was placed inside. The evnaglion is a clone of Adam, not Yui. Yes, Asuka said her Eva was the first real eva, being a production model andm his was only the test type.

I thought that was just meant as an insult to Shinji. As in "If a Eva can sychronize so quickly with an inexperienced, "stupid" person like Shinji, there must be something wrong with it."
