View Full Version : My understanding of the EOE

I've only seen the movie "End of Evangelion" once at a comic con. (standing up and it was in subtitles) so I maybe wrong about this.

I THINK that why Shinji is on Auska at the end of EOE is because Shinji wants to love Auska but he can't love anyone because he feels that no one has loved him. After all that has happened to him with his parents and so on he feels Alone. He still wants company and that is why Auska is there with him. Is Auska there for real or is it just in his imagation for some company.

If Auska is there for real is sort of means that she is in the same boat as Shinji. She dose'nt have a love, but she seems to hate Shinji and him being there is more of a punishment that anything. Unless she really dose like Shinji but not in that way. The Series showed some intrest by Auska towards Shinji but only when she was a better pilot than Shinji, but when Shinji got to be a better pilot than Auska, She started to hate Shinji.

The "I feel sick" quote, Auska in Rei's bandages, ummmm, this MAY dispute what I just wrote but... Shinji wants to love Auska but can't, because he hates Auska's personallaty, but he finds her body Attractive. Shinji hates the fact that Rei's a Clone but she reminds him of his mother (dose Shinji know that Rei's his mother clone???) Rei's personallaty is the personallaty that Shinji likes the most. So Shinji makes up the perfect person in his mind and Instrmentally creates her. But because he can't love, Shinji can't be with everyone else.

If Shinji dose fall in love with this new Auska will he be one soul with everyone or will it be too late???

To anyone who read this Thanks. I don't know if I'm right or wrong but when I watched it, (the one time) that's how I understood it. If you can think of any other Conclusions to the Ending please post

No one can REALLY understand Evangelion

she does have the bandages, but i noticed that the arm is the same one but not the eye? 3rd impact definitely failed because when eva-01 burst out of the giant rei, the creature died and spilled out all the souls of man. The reality or fantasy of that final scene is what i've been trying to figure out ever since i saw the movie. your explanation of the "asuka" being is interesting but i figured instrumentality to be over when eva-01 burst out.

The bandages are from her encouter with the new eva types aren't they? The split arm and spear through the head deal.

I'm wondering whether her arm actually split, or whether that was just a reflection of what she felt when the lances killed eva-02.

yeah it was from her getting hurt, but the arm injury looked real, her arm appeared to be split.

OK... let's see... HAVEN'T ANYONE REALIZED THAT THIS IS BEYOND THE REAL PLOT OF THE MOVIE??????

Shinji is the real representation of the humanity seeking for the real happiness, but there is always a bump in the road and it doens't finishes well. The 'New Asuka' as the one Wolfpac mentions... is the representation of the love humans seek, the perfect love... so he is right in that point... a combination of girls to make a perfect one for him to love...

This is only what I think... so don't get mad at me for having my own point of view...

Well...I would agree with you guys on the possibility that the new Asuka is a representation of all the features of an ideal women. However considering that Shinji became somewhat a god near the end, it is quite possible that this new Asuka may not be "the perfect women" for him. Considering how mentally unstable he is, one would wonder what kind of warped definition of love he might have.

As he can wish for basically anything to happen, the new Asuka may also have a different mentality than the original Asuka. I read once on a website that it is possible that the current Asuka maybe "someone" else completely but only having the body of Asuka. When I think of this, scenes of "Pet Cemetary" come to mind.

/me Shivers...... :(

And having never really loved anyone, one would really wonder how his new found love will actually be.
