YYH is awesome! although im dissapointed i didnt finish the series when it was on tv in the philippines. its a lot like dbz too, and is it just me, or is hiei look a lot like vegeta in a way?
anyway, im looking forward to FUNi's release (the uncut dvd's mind you), the last time i saw it was 4 years ago, its amazing how you forget things

Well, I've only seen a small bit of it. . . Mainly the beginning, up to the start of the _big_ Tournament with Toguro, then a few random fights afterward. . .
I loved the series, from what I'd seen. . . ::blink:: . . And hope FUNi'll do at least a _semi_ decent job with its dubb. . . Either way, I'll probably be buying their DVDs. . Though I'd have rather had AnimEigo get the rights for US distribution . . . **
Well, i own a little less than half the manga series, and its pretty good, i like it. :) It was my first manga series. As for the anime version, i can't really comment on it since i haven't seen it.

i'd rather had Bandai release it, animego takes too long to release stuff.
well, to talk YYH, that tournament with toguro is the best! that yusuke vs. toguro match was comparable to any fight in dbz, not to mention the fight takes 500 episodes*.
*a sarcastic comment if you're a serious reader.

they stopped showing YYH (Ghost Fighter in the philippines) in the philippines in 97 and they continued it in like, 99 or 2000, and it was a big hit. (they did the same with dbz, they stopped showing it after the freeza saga an then continued it later)
and can you speak tagalog? becuase the philippine version is in tagalog, i'd kill for a copy! the philippine version was so fu.ckin tight!

Well, apart from Kurama I really liked the series. (To me, Kurama is just an old-style character...like in Saint Seiya.) The two main characters are extremely original. They're two bums, the best fighters of two rival schools. I liked the fact that both Yusuke and Kuwabara were so uncaring, ungrateful. Really not heroes.
The series also made a good turn. The beginning was so...strange...but it eventually turned out well. There are some very creative villains and powers. A very good series, IMHO.

Yuu Yuu Hakusho is one of the best! >o< I reckon the manga's better than the anime coz the picture's better and on TV you don't get to see the gruesome bits as much.
Also the manga gets much better from around Volume 9 or 10. (Characters more naturally drawn/look more older/plot gets interesting/quotes aren't corny)
My favourite volumes (which I have) are 13 and 19. Does anybody else have the last volume? It is, like, one of the coolest ending I've ever seen! Almost shedded a tear... And I still can't decide whether Kurama is cuter than Hiei or not. :o

Hah, Kurama was my favorite character in there. :p I liked how it began, it was interesting. Though i don't quite like Hiei, everytime i think i might give him a chance i end up thinking "argh i want to strangle the little bastard!".

I thought the series was pretty cool!! Got alot of fighting scenes... and characters are not bad, even though the drawings aren't that good... but then again, it's a very old series!! :)
Kurama is aliitle bit better than others. I didn't like the main character..... or his high school friend. Not my type of anime character!
In a way, it does have a hint of Saint Seiya in there... as they all fight for what they believe and stuff... well, mostly all fight just for the sake of fighting...

i was browsing on dragonballz.com since i had nothing better to do, when i stumble to a piece of news about YYH on the main page, i was reading it, it said that "Funimation is proud to bring YYH to the US..." "YYH will be airing this spring." so does that mean its going to toonami? becuase if they meant they were going to release it, they could have said "YYH will be released on video this spring" like they did with blue gender. i think someone from FUNi made a slip
i assumed they were going to put YYH on toonami when i first heard that they bought the rights earlier this year. It's fighting ala dbz and is a long series so it would seem to a good idea to put it on toonami for the marketing execs and try to create the next big toonami hit. Though it will most likely be cut badly
How viloents YYU to Uncut DBZ?
I've only seen four episodes... :| It seemed okay, from the little that I saw. And I had fully intended to get more of it but I just plum forgot. ^^
It's a pretty good anime. I really like the sheer brutality of the combat. It's almost DBZ level.

It's a nice Anime show and I love it!
I've own the entire series of YYH both manga and anime. I must say the manga version is much better than the anime. I simply hate the changes they made in anime, where it hinted that there's some thing going on between Kuwabara's sister and the boss of the toguro team.
