-Combines crap plot with bullshit jargon, wank mecha and zero dimensional characters, all while trying to be dramatic. A truly ugly show.


Digimon
-shameless clone of Pokemon, but with no one comparable to Jessie and James, Pokemon's saving grace. The characters all need a good beating about the head.


Fist of the Nth Star (movie)
-Guts, violence and exploding guts. Little else.


Voltron
-Do not attempt to watch thee. Admittedly its pretty old and I saw the English cut,(or should I say hack), but that's no excuse for copius amounts of schlock.


Starship Girl Yamamoto Yohko
-Ooh how cute! Little girls in spaceships!!......Not!! Although not as bad as the other schlockers, SGYY tries desperately to compete.

I'm very fortunate in that I haven't ever seen most of those Anime Series and yeah, Tenchi in Tokyo is bad, I like universe though, not as good as the OAVs but still good. Hmm i'm having a hard time thinking of bad series but i'm one of those people that erases the series from his mind as soon as he has seen it. I can tell you the kind of anime I hate though, shows with obscene depictions of sex and violence, I mean its ok if its within the storyline like Ninja Scroll but this is more for the western knock offs wehich I cant remember the names of

Yes, Brain Powerd was rubbish and I was happy when the plug was pulled......

Starship Girl Yamamoto Yohko was watchable, but I went with the majority and voted to have it removed......Which I now regret :|

Now, if we can convince Mappy to stop leaving the best till last :)

Pokemon is decent if all the brat kids in the USA didn't get obsessed with it, and for Monster Rancher, the games were awesome but thats about it, oh yeah and Holly is pretty kawaii :D

Not so much an anime as a dire western attempt at a live action version - Guyver: Dark Hero. The anime series was OK, what I saw of it... but G:DH is SO dire that it's not funny. Ok, it IS funny... luckily, I didn't buy it, a friend of mine bought it and we watched it at around 2am. We turned it off around 3am. It took a LOT of will power to watch the rest...

As for Pokemon, it SUCKS, SUCKS, SUCKS!!!!!! It sucks more than Naoko after Yui died! (To all EVA fans, sorry about that one!) It seriously is a dire show... perhaps if you took Jessie and James, made their humour a little more adult, and made them bad guys in a quality show, then they would work. The rest of them just suck... and I can't WAIT until the day that Pikachu dies... *Calles over Gekiganger to step on Pikachu*

I saw something else that I thought sucked too... Detonator Organ, I think it was called. Didn't see the whole movie, but it sucked.

BTW, have you ever met anybody who hated EVA or Nadesico? I never have... I'm glad to say...

In the very same post you said how you liked Pokemon now if you want to talk about model kits etc. then talk about the 150 plus pokemon there are to collect and cards, and games, and models etc. For what its worth I like Gundam... if you couldn't tell

About the model kits... sue me, I want them. Never seen Gundam, but giant robots kick ass anyway! (Does anybody know if they make Gekiganger figures?)

you asked our opinions... here's mine...

dragon ball {all of them} is the worst... terrible writing, terrible animation, terrible plot {the redundant ones they have}, terrible fight coreography, terrible characters, terrible everything, and terribly overrated! ..i cannot think of a single thing positive about dragon ball.

second... another overrated series is Gundam Wing! seriously, DB and GW are ------' more overrated than pokemon, monster rancher, digimon, smokymon... i don't give a ----, it's all bullshit! 'specially the mechs... that shyle of mechs are completely overdone! with the exception of yoshitaka amano, don't any of these designers have any ------' talent? or originality!? notice that the only welldone characters are duo, heero, etc, etc... that's 'cause those are the ones amano designed!

the "creative teams" behind those two series {if i can even call them that} are doing the worst job i've ever seen on an anime.


then i'll have to list Ninja Ressurection, along with Gowkyser, and mane others.

I'll accept DB as overrated for sure.
But it is not that bad.., well it's not that good either. (I've only seen the English dub DBz).

I've read that the very 1st series was more comedy oriented and less dramatic. That would suit my tastes more.

Pokemon....Well it's a kids show, and as such does OK. How can you hate Jessie and James....and that smart arse cat? Sure it has been blown out of proportion but that can't be helped. It's a plastic crap factories dreams come true! Digimon is much more contemptable. It takes itself far too seriously. (Eng dubs)

i thought digimon was an okay anime.everyone says that it is just a pokemon ripoff,but compare the two and see what really happens.first thing,the story is completely different from pokemon.two,the "mon" are used for different puposes than pokemon. and three,there are more than just three characters teamed up with the main dude.

okay,okay i'm not saying that it is a great anime,but i am saying that it is okay for what it is.


I think Dragon baLLz is a pretty good show.it isn't as good as they all say it is,but it is a good show.the only things that i think makes it bad is Funimations Dubb actors and the cheezy diolauge that they plauged it with(ex."bite me","holy cow","bummer man").originally the diolauge was cool in japanese(the characters actually cursed.you should hear Vegita).
if you ever watched the show uncut and in Japanese,it is very good.

i have one of the DBZ movies(number 13) and it is awesome.the diolauge is belivable and the voices don't make you want to blow the t.v. up.



did any of you hear that dragon ball was ranked higher than evangelion in japan.they did a poll and dragon ball was at rank 3 while evangelion was at 5 or 6.

I personally hate DragonBallZ and Pokemon. Now obviously everyone hates Pokemon, but let me elaborate on DBZ. Now I'm not one for mindless violence and DBZ is just that. Granted it may have a good storyline, but the way they make the episodes is that they push the storyline out of the picture for a pure 15 minutes of fireballs. I mean its like they have to do something, fight a big guy for 15 minutes, then achieve their goal. Theres no story development cause the series drags on and on for 200+ episodes or something. And frankly, from the amount I've watched, if you die, you get wished back to life even stronger than before! Their techniques are also very limited. Fireballs, kicks and punches. Thats why I LOVE kenshin so much. So many different styles, its crazy. But anyway, thats about it I have for DBZ, though I'm open minded. I'd also like to include that I despise Wrath of the Ninja. I watched some in anime club and I nearly fell asleep. Its like they fight a strong guy, then a stronger guy comes, then a stronger good guy comes, then an even stronger bad guy. And this main character has a short sword that blows people up!!! Whats the point of using a sword if it just disintegrates people! Ack!

Dont mock Fist of the North Star (movie), that was excellant. But you can insult the series, that was really really bad.

Never watch Armagadon, it is absolutly crap. Badly dirrected and written, they had a decent plot but couldnt do anything with it.

Winds of Amnesia was one of the most boring Animes I have ever watched.

Pokemon and DBZ are watchable. Couldnt get too attached to them though.

I heartily agree, Panda Boy! Armageddon was sheer tripe, and it moved WAY too fast. And everyone looked really ugly and the script was crap. And the name 'Delta Boy' REALLY sucked.

As for Fist of the North Star series, I agree. However, it took me fifteen episodes to realize that it sucked. :( :p

Actually, although it's NOT Shite anime (it's wonderful), I have a question about Nadesico. Why do most people pick Ruri as their fave? I mean 'favourite' in the... well, ya know... way. She looks about eight...
