Macross/Robotech Fan Poll

A) Total Robotech/Macross Fan = You like both Robotech and Macross somewhat equally. You like watching all 85 episodes of Robotech and have (or want to) seen most of Macross' sequel series.

B) Macross Super-Purist = You have nothing but utter hatred for Carl Macek and harmony gold for turning Macross into Robotech. You love Macross, but hate anything related to Robotech.

C) Macross Purist = You prefer Macross to the point that you never bother to really see Robotech at all, but you are a big fan of Macross. However, you have nothing against Macek and nothing against Robotech in general other than that you like Macross.

D) Robotech Fan = Never got into Macross 2, Macross 7, or Macross +. You liked Robotech, are a total fan, and liked all 3 sagas of Robotech.

I've never seen Macross... I just grew up watching Robotech and still have all 85 episodes of Robotech on about 3 or 4 tapes... i sit down and watch them every now and then. I'm still a big fan of Robotech though... but I'd LOVE to see Macross....

I'd say C is the best one for me since I prefer Macross over Robotech. Although I don't have anything against Robodreck :) and it was how I got into Macross. If Carl hadn't put so much oh's and ah's into Robotech and had the narrator not talk so much, then Robotech would be much better.

Another good thing about Robotech is that it also got me into Mospeada.

D/ Robotech fan though its only cuz i haven't seen macross or macross plus though one of my favourite anime music videos is a macross plus one

Yeah the Narrator does drive me nuts. As does some of the new music they had to use, especially Minmays songs. Also the Saturday Morning sanitisation! But its what got me started on Anime all those years ago.

I would be closer to C. I don't mind as long as people know the truth behind it so to speak and where Macross, Southern Cross and Mospeda originaly came from.
