I learned that lesson about... Uhmmmm 7 years ago... I lent someone Super Mario All Stars... And... When I asked them when I was going to get it back... They said their FAT Aunt stepped on it. They said they were going to buy me a new one- but they never did... <shrugs>

yeah, I know how you feel! I lent my Grave of the Fireflies dvd to my friend who i didn't keep in touch with after she went to highschool, and she never gave it back! I don't think it was intentional....but i sure would love to have it back.

hmm...I say that if he still wont pay for it, tell him to give you the money to buy at least half of it if not three fourths of it because it was his responsibility then pay the rest with your own money to get it off your back, and to have a new one that works.

I lent on of my Escaflowne tapes to a friend and when I get it back it flips all the time. I had to buy a new one. I hated that happening.

Don't you see what's going on here? He's obviously thinks you did destroy his FF8 disc and is now exacting revenge on you for doing so! Its as clear as day ;) Lemme guess. He's only paying for Mononoke if you pay for FF8? :rolleyes:

I trust my friends, but thats because I have their numbers and addresses :evil: The most damage incurred was denting in the DVD cover, but apart from that, my DVD's never get damaged [shouldn't speak too soon]. But how do you friggin damage a DVD? Do they scrape it against concrete before they put it into the player? How come it happens so often to these posters? :confused:

Yeah, and PenPen2, don't mock Baines. I feel sympathy for him if he doesn't live in the US and bought an imported version. Those things are damn expensive.

One of my friends and I lend each other DVDs, but only because we both have the same policy of keeping our DVDs completely scratch-free. We care enough about the DVDs even when they aren't our own.

omg! That movie must be cursed or something! Just tonight, a friend of mine who I'd lent it too messaged me to let me know that the second half doesn't work! Goddamnit! I was nice enough to tell him what is in the second half.. but *sniff* it's just not fair.
