First, it's a baboon, not a gorilla. Baboons are supposed to be evil and mischievous. Second, his name is Naraku. Third, that's his body. He's not borrowing it from someone else, that's his body. He's something of a shape-shifter, in the case of the whole Inuyasha-Kikyo mess, and right now he's pretending to be a prince. As for how long he's going to wear that body...::shrug:: As long as it serves his purpose, I guess. Or until he wants to mess with some more heads/hearts. Whichever comes first.

I haven't seen much of Inu Yasha but I like it.Especially one scene that always makes me laugh my guts out

-------------------------------------------
(Kagome is drying her school clothes while wearing Kikkyou's outfit)

Inu Yasha : Hey!
Kagome : What?
Inu Yasha : Take it off!
(Kagome hits Inu Yasha on the head)
Inu Yasha : Why'd you do that?
Kagome : You pervert!
Inu Yasha : I didn't say get naked!Just put back on your weird clothes!

I've finished 47 eps, anxiously awaiting episode 48. It's a great anime so far. The first of Takahashi's work I have seen in anime format (yeah, yeah, I haven't seen Urusei Yatsura or Ranma 1/2, bite me). Does anyone know where they are at with the series? How many episodes are there per season?

Why is the ending song 'fukai morie' showing inu yasha's brother? (cant spell his long name.) I dun get it... is it his image song?

Yasei Chi
15-11-01, 08:36 PM
I don't think Fukai Mori is Sesshoumaru's image song. Those scenes just happened to be the animation sequence the producers/animators/whoever decided to put in for the closing credits. Keep watching the show and you might get an idea why it's focusing on Sesshoumaru.

I think we're in the 40's now. Into the new opening sequence already. ^_^ I like Change the World better, though.

I have just seen episode 48, been on my hd allday, but just got around watching it:heh: after Slam Dunk! and a few episode of Gravitation:D. I can't wait till they release the movie:D, they have been showing the trailers ever since episode 47(I think), before that I already download the trailer and that looks kinda cool too.

btw. Does anyone know the last name of Kagome and Kikiyo? I don't recall it ever been mentionned before, I must be getting old:D

delerium
15-11-01, 11:10 PM
Kagome's last name (or family name) is Higurashi. Kikyou's last name isn't mentioned anywhere in the series, if I can recall correctly.

How long is the series suppose to be? I've seen to about 37 curretnly...I can watch them a lot faster than I can get them it seems.

As for favorite characters...I'd probably have to go with Sango. I also find Miroku pretty hilarious sometimes.

I really want to see this one, but haven't seen it available many places.

I'm a big fan of Takahashi Rumiko. I really enjoyed:

* Fire Tripper
* One Pound Gospel
* Maris the Chojo
* Yatsura
* Maison Ikkoku
* Ranma 1/2

Ah, favorite characters. My fav would have to be Inuyasha. Crude on the outside, but soft on the inside. :) I like Shippo too, especially when he gets on Inuyasha's nerves. And Miroku has his own particular charm in his perviness.

Westlo

Ok these two characters haven't fought in the series yet but they might you never know. So if they do who do you think will win Naraku or Sesshoumaru?

Sesshoumaru for me because he has the Toukijin, so he has the best of both words, a sword that killz and one that can heal himself with and thats just one reason

Yasei Chi
06-12-01, 01:57 AM
Except Toukijin was made from a detachment of Naraku, and might not want to kill its initial creator. ::shrug:: I think Naraku would win, simply because he has those wooden dummies, and now has his two female detachments (and Juuroumaru and Kageroumaru, if they're fighting before Juuro is killed. I don't think Sesshou's claws and whip and sword(s) would stand up to that, no matter how cool he is.

Takahashi
06-12-01, 06:17 AM
Actually Toukijin, lost it fights of will against Sesshoumaru, the reason why only fluffy could control Toukijin, in a way he has tamed Naraku will and bend it to his will, means fluffy is a hell of alot stronger than Naraku will ever be. Not to mention Fluffy is a lot stronger than Inu Yasha, only reason Inu Yasha wins is because he has a reason to fight for, unlike fluffy who just wants to live up to dad's awsome might, not really something you put all your heart into it.

Nagha's revenge
06-12-01, 06:38 AM
Yup it's fluff all the way. I mean come on Naraku is having trouble with Inuyasha .. Do you really think he could hold out even with all detachments present. Even Kagura bows to his might not even insulting him behind his back like she does with Naraku.

Yasei Chi
06-12-01, 04:09 PM
I think Naraku would hold out for quite a bit against Fluffy. As for who would win.... ::flips a coin, rolls a die, reads tea leaves:: Hmm....the stars say....

I actually think Naraku would win because of sheer numbers. ::shrug:: But hey, we'd have to see it to know, right? Or ask Rumiko Takahashi.

SPOILERS!!!!

Um... Inu yasha's sword broke... what's gonna happen now?
Inu yasha turned into a demon when he fought Naraku's third detachment. What was that all about?!
Kikyo said that she gave Naraku the rest of the Shikon no tama shards to destroy him. She wont let anyone kill Inu Yasha, and she holds his life...

End spoilers.... i want answers damnit!

Spoilers for Nair

Tetsusaiga is seeling the "wild" side of Inu Yasha away, when the sword broken Inu Yasha youkai blood starts to get the upper hand and he turns into a savage youkai, consider this like berserker mode for Inu Yasha, where he forgets friends and foes and start getting on a killing frenzy.
Though she won't admit she love Inu Yasha, Kikyo is still in love with him. She gave the Shikon no Tama to Naraku to have him collect all the shards for her and once he finished collecting it she will come back for his head.

Yasei Chi
20-12-01, 10:58 PM
As for Tessaiga....

SPOILERS

Inuyasha gets that wierd raccoon-guy (Toutousai?) to put it back together, using one of his (Inuyasha's) fangs as the material to join the two pieces. This also means that Tessaiga gets heavier and harder for Inuyasha to swing, at least until he can master himself (or somesuch; I haven't figured it out exactly). And even with Tessaiga, Inuyasha can become full youkai if he puts his mind to it (he does it again later against Sesshoumaru).

And I think Kikyou should leave everyone alone, but that's just me.

Nagha's revenge
21-12-01, 06:06 AM
Everyone is postinf spoilers and SInce there is even more to tell...

**SPOILERS*** (All relating to Nair's plea)

Now .. First let me say that the sword was a seal put onto Inuyasha by his father to seal his Youkai side. Apparently his daddy didn't want him to become a full youkai. In depth: Once it initially broke the seal was broken and Inuyasha became a full Youkai with a lust for killing and blood devoid of 'human' emotions like love and such.
The sword was rejoingd by totousai using Inuyasha's own fang. But the seal is still broken and Inuyasha has no recollection of his .. ' phase ' . In Depth: The sword WITH Inuyasha's tooth is stronger but also heavier. Thus making it harder to handle.. Poor Inu oh ..wel. Also he wil turn into super-youkai if he gives up all hope in the sword. The sword represents his faith in himself and his own ability of sorts/his will to be human (remember he can only use it as long as he protects humans). When he forsakes the sword he will turn. And now the sword itself has become virtually unhandelable ...
Ofcourse fluff (Seishomaru) made a sword of his own from the attachment's fangs. He is ready to test it's metal against the reforged Tessaiga.
Kikyo still loves him but she realises she is not reall she is dead . The fact that her soul still lives and that she can still see Inuyasha is just something that clouds both of their perceptions and judgement. Kagome still feels threatent bu Kikyo's presence and the fact that Inuyasha trusts he so ..
So that leaves you with what 5-6 eps before you're up-to-date ? Ne? I forget .. :heh:

***/SPOILER***

Hope noone else read that ... :lol:

Yasei Chi

::rolls eyes:: As if anything else is being posted lately....

--POSSIBLE SPOILERS--

First, it was kinda' obvious from the first that Inuyasha's daddy didn't want him to be a full youkai...or, at least, didn't want Inuyasha fighting against humans. Tessaiga would only work when Inuyasha was fighting for humans (i.e. Kagome). I might be repeating Nagha's Revenge here, but...::shrug:: You find out much later (after Tessaiga breaks) that it's a seal on Inuyasha's youkai power, and that without it, it's much more likely that Inuyasha will become a full youkai, even though he's not using the Shikon no Tama to change. After the sword is put back together with Inuyasha's fang, the seal is there again, but if Inuyasha puts Tessaiga aside, the seal doesn't work. It's sort of like it's there, but it's not as strong, and is based upon proximity or somesuch. Though, it looks like Inuyasha's trying to master the heavier Tessaiga. He had it swinging lightly in the fight against Juuromaru and Kageromaru when Kageromaru was going to kill Kagome, but then it got heavy again.

Just adding more since I recently watched ep 50 and 51. The reason why his youkai side was sealed up was because each time Inuyasha transforms it'll become harder for him to come back. His half youkai body can't take it so he loses himself. If he loses himself completely he'll just go around destroying until his own body can't take it anymore and annihilates himself. Gah why do I always do this to myself...I know that right after I watch an episode that doesn't continue there's a good chance the next episode won't be a complete one. Why oh why did I do that to myself. Anyway tiny update and such so...yeah. Mostly just trying to keep an inuyasha topic going as an Inuyasha forum would be really nice...

Um, any info on the INU YASHA movie? what is it about basically?

raymojo
04-01-02, 01:39 AM
Don't know to much about the movie, except that it came out Dec.15, doesn't appear to be fansubbed yet (correct me if I am wrong), and has a story independant of the series.
There are a couple trailers floating around the net, plus the one at the end of a couple episodes.

Oh yeah, there's no kidnapping in this movie. :D
