Is there supposed to be some kind of symbolism in the lack of blood?

Cause you see only that blond chick's parents had blood. Is only people who are pure bleed? Sinners are already dead?

I somewhat think there's some kinda symbol...
The evil people're bloodless, and thus also heartless? *blinks*... It's possible there ain't really a symbol, what we think's up to us though.

Ya, that makes sense.

Well:

1) In traditional film Noir, blood is not depcited. Noir therefore is faithfully recreating a convention of its namesake genre.

2) Yes, blood does represent humanity. Only the deaths and injuries of those with souls worthy of salvation are depicted with any form of bleeding, and even then its rare or sparse.

There's film courses specifically focusing on the "Film Noir" genres at your friendly local university if you like to find out more. :kawaii:

Which just goes to show, Noir is deeper than it first seems ;) There's symbolism evident in it everywhere! ;)

Heck, I cited it as source material for my Film Theory Essay!! :kawaii:

I'll admit I’ve not see the film called Noir ,, but I can say without a care that they are "not" based on one another ....

if anything its a decision taken by the creator of Noir ,, that blood is not needed excessively and is rather pointless (( that and if you shoot someone they don’t spit out with blood like mad

(( why don't you try it on yourself .....

I just watched the ending of Noir!! It was abit...errr.... weird!!

The most funny part was the lack of blood.... it looked soooo fake! It's almost stupid!! It's like oohhh the dragger stuck in my body and yet, there's no blood coming out of it... wtf#$%!

Actually, look carefully.

The fork that slew Chloe is drenched in her blood, symbolising her humanity and the tragedy of her loss. :bawling:

I also recently just watched the ending of Noir and I did not find it "weird"! I thought it was one of the most beautiful endings I have ever seen and the way it managed to uphold its class and style until the very end is truly impressive. And the fork in which Kirika stabbed Chloe with was laced with her blood, one of the very few times in which the audience actually gets to see that red substance ;)

To me, Noir without blood is pretty cool. Though Kirika and Mirelle bleeds when they get hurt but all those goons gets killed and nothing bleed out. Things don't get messy that way. :)

In stark contrast to Ninja Scroll , in which heroes don't bleed, but villains spill in by the galons. :kawaii:

For a thriller, watch the subbed version. For a classic comedy , watch the dub. :kawaii:
