Macross/Vandread similarities

Don't know if anyone else feels the same way I do, Vandread reminds me alot of Macross tv series, with little differences here and there, battle scenes from vandread, when theire vastly outnumbered and looks like they have very little chance of surviving, gave me chills, i haven't felt since Macross in the final battle with the Zentradi Leaders armada(sorry don't remember his name), and the love triangle(meia-hibiki-dita), is awefully similar to Lisa-Rick-Minmei, of course the character roles and personalities are a little different with their perspective shows.

you forgot to mention the following:

a) Men and Women fight (Zentradi and Mentradi)
b) mecha transform (Vandreads and Verotechs)
c) the ship is big (SDF-1 and Nirvana)
d) all the bridge crew are female
e) main pilot is male
f) inimical aliens are the bad guys, and get blown up good.

Yeah Macross and Nadesico.. But truthfully, Vandread is a lot different from any other animes really if you think about it. :dodgy:
